This is one of my favourite films ever. Must have seen it at least 10 times. Best part Hugh Grant has ever played
Hope the King gets into the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy next😁
Agreed! Although personally I prefer Paul to The Worlds End (I know it’s not part of the Cornetto trilogy but it’s still Pegg and Frost)
@@LoinerJoe that's good too!! I'd be happy with any of the 4😁
He's already done them.
Rocknrolla is a seriously underrated film. One of Ritchie's best.
Awesome film
Totally agree 😊
i don't think its his best, but its definitely the one i've watched the most, its just so fun.
I agree it's underrated Tell em archie sent you!
💯. Great film
Charlie Hunnam is a very underrated actor. Brilliant in Sons of Anarchy!
So true..really great actor. But for some reason on first glance i always see heath ledger..they look like brothers to me.
@@Sizzlik imagen if Heath was alive they could've done a movie together
@@jasongarcia1886 dunno if its just me..but dont they pretty much lookalike? They playing together would be a treat..i could imagine a brothers story like boondock saints or something along the line. Really sad that heath felt so sad that whatever happened, did happen.
Colin Farrells character is so good in this. So funny
Best character in the movie , then Hugh grant
Great film! For me, I was very impressed with Hugh Grant as it was totally different from the previous roles I've seen him play. An all-round, enjoyable rollercoaster ride.
exactly!
Apparently Grant took the role, because he has a special bone to pick against the sleaze-tabloid paparazzies of UK.
@@ilesalmo7724 Well, he was a witness at The Leveson Enquiry, which was investigating press intrusion and phone hacking by tabloid newspapers. He's been a very vocal critc of sleaze tabloid journalism.
If only Hugh Grant had been given more roles like this
Was stuck in those pretty boy roles
One of my favourite films of all time. Guy Ritchie is a genius.
Imagine what he could do for the James Bond franchise...
He made a film the man from Uncle based on the TV series check it out
the fu-huc scene alone is enough for me to say the same thing 👍 😂
If you haven't seen a film called 'In Bruges' that would be a great film for you.Colin Farrell's best movie imo and funny as.There is a scene in it where you definitely haven't heard the combination of swearing before :) Brendon Gleeson is brill in it also
Definitely
You're an ********* inanimate object ...................gets me every time
My favorite movie
i was in bruges on my honeymoon while they were filming the movie and all the cast were staying in our hotel
@@Disco_Breakin must have been cool asf, hope u made it up the tower 🙂
A hugely underrated film that would be right up your street is Chopper. The film is a mostly true story about Australian Mark "Chopper" Read who used to terrorise and rob drug dealers.
Eric Bana spent quite some time with the real life Chopper to learn his mannerisms and quirks and delivers an incredible performance playing the massively unhinged and charismatic character.
Australian comedian Ronnie Johns made a great series of sketches based on Chopper. You can find them on RUclips still.
That was Ritchie at his best, such a good film.
Great reaction! 👍
Hugh Grant needs to do more parts like this
Hugh Grant blew my mind in this. So good to see him do something so different to his usual
Fletcher and Coach are my favourite characters , brilliant 😊
I don't think you noticed, but at the end when Hugh Grant is pitching the whole story to a movie producer to make money, the producer is Guy Ritchie, the producer of this movie.
Colin farrell steals every scene he's in
Ray Winstone and Ben Kingsley in
"Sexy Beast" is good movie
Yeeees, Sexy Beast, Clockwork Orange, Gangster no1, Human Traffic, Mike Bassett England Manager, all the British Classics.
Chuck Withnail and I and If... in for S&G's.
Michael Caine in
"Harry Brown" is a good British movie to review
The guy at the film studio Hugh is selling his script to is Guy Ritchie
Fletcher is a great character - he could carry a Netflix series on his own, winning some, losing some. Brilliant! Charlie Hunnam retrieving the phone is a classic scene!
The actress playing matthew McConaughey's wife , she plays lady mary in downton abbey
Fun fact: the barbeque Ray owns is one of Guy Ritchie's own designs. Subtly marketing it in the film. The bar in the beginning and later in the film is also owned by Guy Ritchie, I believe it's called the Gritchie or something like that.
I mean I'd buy it
@@ethanholgate2512 same
Gritchie is his beer which is sold in a few pubs. You’re right tho it’s also his pub 😂
@@jimherbert007 Oh, thanks for clearing that up lol
@@Roadkill-Films James May of Top Gear / Grand Tour serves it in his pub as well 😉
Knew you'd love this film! Criminally underrated, would even arguably say it's Guy Ritchie's best film. Not a GR film but Layer Cake is another brilliant UK gangster film with Daniel Craig.
Great to see your reaction - The Gentlemen is such a fun film, some epic lines, twisted plot and hilariously dark action, with a stellar cast.
Near the end when Micky gets in the car its like "The Long Good Friday"
The end scenes in this film were based on parts of a film called The Long Good Friday it is well worth a watch.... PS Hugh Grant was brilliant. Somebody else said in comments layer cake is on a great movie as well. I think Daniel Craig performance in that film got him James Bond
Talking of James Bond......Pearce Brosnan is the gangster who turns around with the gun in the passenger seat, in ending scene of The Long Good Friday that this film copied.
@@UncleNewy1 indeed yes 👍🏼
Guy Ritchie's latest film is out now, Operation Fortune, Ruse de Guerre. Starring Jason Statham. The trailer shows it to be a typical Ritchie film of fun, adventure and action.
Hugh Grant in this film - mwah! Chef's kiss!
I watched this a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.
You definitely need to watch Rocknrolla, it very good, as is Layer Cake, which isn't Guy Ritchie, but is his friend Matthew Vaughan.
The Gentleman is one of my favourites too
Glad you enjoyed it.
Great channel & reaction. 👏👍
Another British gangster film you really should react to is "Love, Honour and Obey". It really is cracking and very funny.
If you've ever watched Sons of Anarchy you will know Charlie Hunnam as lead character Jax.
Great film 👌 sheikh my todger 🤣🤣🤣
@@darrenbrown4605 "Fix bayonets"
And the Queen is Moaning Myrtle from HP: Chamber Of Secrets 🥰🥰🥰
The actress playing Mickey Pearson's wife was in Downton Abbey
One of my fav movies, so many top-quality scenes!!!
I really didn’t know what to expect when I first watched this film, but it really was a fun ride with fun characters, good dialogue, and great music.
More movies like this for the future -
Dead man's shoes
Dead man running
The business
Revolver
Greentree
In bruges
Lockstock
Layercake
Snatch
Rock n roller
Just a few I can think of I'm sure you have already done a few of them 👍🏻
Yes dead mans shoes its free to watch on here . That film is so good , its not funny its dark as fuck but fuck me its amazing
Could also count 'London Boulevard' with Collin Farrel and Ray Winstone in there
Guy Ritchie is a genius ❤️❤️❤️
The smoking part is in line with the character of Raymond.
The song at the end; That's Entertainment by The Jam is EPIC
Layer cake is a good british gangster film to watch
Glad you started the UK film scene journey. There’s some amazing ones you’d love. Cornetto trilogy next I reckon
Love this film, glad you liked it. I liked "Man from UNCLE", too.
Unreal film! Really hope they make a 2nd!! 🙌🏻
I love the nod to "The Long Good Friday" near the end.
We need to get more people to react to this
What a movie. Brilliant reaction ❤️❤️🔥🔥
This is a throw back but I really love the British shows phone shop and keeping up appearances
Glad you were introduced to "Spunk Bubble"
For me the order of the four best Guy Ritchie gangster movies are:
1. Lock, Stock
2. Snatch
3. The Gentlemen
4. Rock n' Rolla
Man from Uncle is really worth a watch, Henry Cavil is great in it :)
Great tv show when I was a kid, along with "The Saint", "Voyage to the bottom of the Sea", "The Prisoner", etc.
This film is Incredible genius and fun and I enjoyed your reaction to it as well!
Never heard of the movie before. Will give it a watch tonight.
i literally just watched it LAST NIGHT again LoL, theres soo many good lines in this and Hugh Grant..... SUPERB
loved your reaction mate... great film too.
Really enjoy this movie, very easy watching. As odd as it sounds, I quite like movies I don't have to watch - I like having background noise or something on when I'm working and I like this one for that.
That might of course be because I've seen it about ten times so I know what's happening. 😅
Definitely do Rock n Roller
Love some king boomer content when I get back from work
Love the Jam song at the end
"Did he call me a black idiot?"
"Yes he did"
"But thats racist"
"You are black..and your an idiot..those are facts"
I would love to have that "deal with it" time back instead this "oh..im offended" time. As Steve Hughes said "Youre an adult..deal with it"
Simply love that movie and all the curveballs it throws..typicall guy richie.
Great flick. Loved your reaction.
You might enjoy
- in Bruges, Colin Farrell and more
- the guard, Brendan Gleason.
Great film that gold gun Guy Ritchie had custom made he ended up giving it to Matthew mcconaughey as a gift
The black guy in this is a Uk Rapper Bugzy Malone who in one of his raps, MEN 2 sang “I told my agent, tell Guy Ritchie he don’t need to pay me. I was watching Snatch, that’s my all-time favourite gangster movie.”
Just a note about the rap video you alluded to after they raid the farm. That actor is a UK rapper called Bugzy Malone and he's pretty big in the UK rap/grime scene. His music is awesome, you should check it out.
It's a lovely pub this is set in, I was there not too long ago. Good food.
Great react man!! You should check out Ghost Stories (2017) It's based on a horror stage play by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman and the got made in it into anthology movie with a twist ending, its solid af!! it has Martin Freeman Paul Whitehouse and Also Andy Nyman stars in it as the main protagonist named Philip Goodman a famous professor and television presenter, whose show is devoted to debunking fraudulent psychics and explaining paranormal events
Its worthy of a watch!! :)
It's insane that weed is illegal in the UK but since the 1800's we have been the biggest exporter of it in the world. We have been selling it in all its forms from eope, paper, beauty products, supplements etc etc. It's frigging annoys the crap out of me.
You are never wrong watching Guy Ritchie's movies.
You should both give The Kingsmen a watch it you haven't already
You can hear the Geordie coming out of Charlie every now and then and him needing to slowly adjust it back 😂
The Man from U.N.C.L.E poster in the background of Guy Richie’s office was almost a 4th wall break given that it’s another Guy Richie film that stared Hugh Grant. 😂 I love this film
I love your reaction to this movie! Heading over to watch what you think of RocknRolla (another one of my favorites) but yes, you should absolutely watch Man From UNCLE, it's an awesome movie as well!
Absolutely love your reactions on our UK humour.....and yes...we will be having you spelling the fucker correctly!...years time lad....we'll be getting you driving on the left....as well
I love this film, chuffed you watched it!
The shot with the russian in the front of the range rover and Micky in the back is straight out of scarface I think.
Just btw, the Man from UNCLE is a great movie! I stumbled across it by accident a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great spy film for the channel if you’re interested!
Dad’s Army was a British sitcom, about the home guard. Mainly the men too old or useless to go and fight, wasn’t sure if you got that reference hah
As much as i enjoyed the film which I have watched several times I enjoyed watching you watch it and laugh at the right time
Did you spot Ashley McGuire (Shakira, the cafe owner in Man Down) as the server in the chip shop near the start? That brings to mind another crazy comedy series for your list - This Country (BBC).
You must have recognised Charlie hunnham from sons of anarchy!
Yes, Man from Uncle is brilliant 👌 definitely do a reaction video to that 🤙
Dude, I was aching to whack Fletcher from the beginning 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The rap song that they uploaded is called boxes of bush by Bugzy Malone
Cracking film,well acted,directed,written...just great cinema.
elite film for ladz. classic - oh and this was a really good reaction
I just watched this film for the first time today randomly! Spooky
watched it 5 times still makes me laugh .
Yes, you should definitely see "The Man from Uncle", if you already haven't.
One of the few films I really took note of the fashion choices. Inception was one and I totally loved Dry Eyes long green coat in this. Took me ages to find it but its a Milford Belstaff jacket.
"He's picking his own arse" what was the other option? Someone else's 🤣
Have you ever seen Rise of the foot soldier (Marbella) if not give it a try. Brit gangster movie, brutal & hilarious
Man from Uncle is a must see film, along with Roc n Rolla
I would love to see you cover deadmans shoes it's a bit darker but it still has some humour in it. It's directed by Shane meadows who did this is England and it stars Paddy Considine from House of the dragon
Brian, hope all is well with you and Queen Boomer. Really enjoy watching your reactions to what appears to be mainly UK shows. Have you watched any GAME ON ? Brit comedy from the 90s with 2 young 20 something mates and a female friend, Samantha Janus ( Womack ) ....really funny. There's a few videos on YT of this show. I reckon you will like it. One of the episodes has a very young Eddie Marsan, he is also in this movie. Cheers and best wishes, Daz, uk
Marihuana dealers might be more chill than those pushing harder stuff, but their top dog crime lord is probably as ruthless as any crime lord, if he is running a 400 million pound empire.
Cleopatra and Caesar only had one night together.
Marc Antony was cleopatra’s true love.
He left rome for her, went to war for her, killed himself when he (falsely) learned that cleopatra had killed herself following their defeat at the hands of Caesar Octavian.
He completely devoted himself to Egypt because of cleopatra, had kids with her, went to war with Egypt he was on Egypt’s side.
“Cockney cleopatra to mickey’s cowboy Marc Antony”
Caesar and Cleo hooked up for political reasons, to strengthen ties with Egypt. While helping her legitimacy as Pharoh against her younger brother who was fighting her for the throne. She now had a child with the most powerful man in the world, who also was the ruler of Egypt since it was a vassal of the ‘republic’
Marc and Cleo fell in love, real love.
Sure Mickey is more like Caesar than marc, but when you’re focusing on Roz and calling her cleopatra, her true love is Marc Antony.
Calling Mickey Caesar is like saying Mickey and Roz are only for political reasons rather than true love (like Marc and Cleo)
Ok so a good list of guy Ritchie and English gangster movie
Snatch.
Lock stock and two smoking barells.
The layer cake.
Rocknroller.
Sherlock holms.
Gangster NO 1.
Rise of the foot soldier. Essex boys.
Legend.(kray twins)
There are more just can't think of any
..🇬🇧🙏🏻
I NEED to know who is on your tshirt haha, I'm 10 mins in and all I can see in the eyes is Jimmy Saville 😅 and that's an interesting choice
Look up the sound track for the film, the song might be on it.
There is a Gentlemen series on I believe I started watching it on Netflix but I LOVE this movie.
Great film! agreed Colin's character was awesome, for me nostalgia says snatch and lock stock still 1 and 2
I'll give you an absolute lay-up, check out "Best of Frankie Boyle on Mock the Week", there's like 8 compilations of his best jokes (1 video compilation per season). I would suggest you watch them with your girl, some of the jokes are brutal so I'd love to see both of your reactions. 👍
Glad you said at end, I know both by normal names but not one brown stuff and white stuff when they said it
“Shimmy Shimmy Ya” was an ODB song, not a Wu-Tang Clan song.
