Congratulations, Maria! I've been a salsa dancer for, oh, decades and, when I dance with a partner with musicality, one who leads me in a way that expresses the nuances of the music, rather than ploughing on through the breaks like an automaton, it really is a blissful experience. Why am I talking about dancing? Well, I think it's analogous to what I want to say about your piece. At no point did you tread on the toes of the promo's essential message. Your piece is totally tuned in to the visuals and, equally importantly, I think, being an erstwhile copywriter, the words on screen - making the ride super-satisfying for the viewer - and, dare I say it, your paying clients. Yay!
Loved that session. Tom Campbell Trio's pieces were beautifully played. The new self-inflating Christian was a wonder to behold! That shortlist for the competition was really strong. Maria's track was brilliant - the manic laughter clips embedded in the sound were a touch of genius. It was all great fun. :)

Opportunities vs distractions (~20 minute mark) - that really stuck with me. Amazing conversation, performances, music , full of gems! Congrats to all the winners!
That was a really enjoyable podcast. I got introduced to some really wonderful music from Scotland that I knew nothing about, felt like I was in the living room of some really knowledgeable and talented people giving some great advice and then wow the competition. That was some really creative stuff; I can’t imagine how hard that was to winnow it down to just a few winners. Thank you for all that.
Sad i did not get a mention but happy to know that my ideas and the winning entry were similar, makes me feel accomplished regardless! Congrats to the shortlist and winner, it was very enjoyable
My monthly Crowhill #podcast comments are : Tom Cambpell Trio - amazing! , Alice - fab n sweet missing her chello, Christian - needs to be mic'ed better with more gain and low end. Editing is great and cameras are well balanced, but you need a producer for this (get me in!).
Was super quiet when I first listened too but looks like it’s fixed now. Either that, or RUclips was just being glitchy with the processing after upload.
