    I wonder who determines these rent prices. There are several factors to consider. I pay way below this rate in a much better economy, access to facilities, and more in the UK. The real state agents in Uganda need to ask the owners, to have realistic expectations.

      Spot on! Kololo rents can really feel like Manhattan prices sometimes-guess that’s the cost of living in one of Kampala’s most sought-after areas!

    Our real estate still has a long way to catch up with our Kenyan neighbhours; for 2k, you will be shocked the amount of value you will get. The apartment has a great minimalist style, but should we say Kololo is overrated? No?

    • @askpraise
      @askpraise  14 дней назад +2

      That’s so true! Kenya has a lot more players in the game, which makes the market more competitive but also super saturated. Here in Uganda, we have the demand, but the limited supply and fewer developers keep things tight. Hopefully, we’ll see more players enter the market soon to shake things up!

      I would expect more for that amount if you compare that in Kenya. Mostly Westland, or Kileleshwa.

      It’s definitely possible! Kololo has some ultra-luxury properties. These often cater to embassies, diplomats, or executives. The range in Kololo is wild-it really has something for everyone (well, almost! 😂). Thanks for sharing that!

      Thanks for your question! These properties are typically designed for long stays only. If you’re looking for short-term stays, there are other options in Kololo and nearby areas that might work better for Airbnb-style arrangements. Let me know if you’d like suggestions!

    That sounds like New York City price to me. Well, that's a very nice apartment, for sure, but I'm willing to pay only $875 a month for it. Take it or leave it.

    • @askpraise
      @askpraise  14 дней назад +1

      😂 I appreciate your negotiating spirit! Unfortunately, Kololo’s pricing doesn’t leave much room for that kind of discount-this area is all about exclusivity. But hey, if I spot something in your range, I’ll definitely share it!

      @@Ntare-23 No, I mean 'expat.' An expat is someone who lives or works outside their home country, often for work. An expert is someone with a lot of knowledge or skill in a specific area. They’re different terms, though they can overlap sometimes.
