    Good video explaining the floaters and retina detachment process. Just last week I had the surgery for a retina detachment. All went well and now recovering. They had to put a silicone oil in the eye vice a gas bubble due to the elevation change between the outpatient location and my home of residence.

    Awesome video. Very easy to follow and very well explained. Thank you.
    Unfortunately, people's perception of floaters can be heightened drastically if they are so close to the retina, particularly in the liquefied pocket between the vitreous and retina known as the premacular bursa. I'm 18 and have this myself, and consequently see a massive, defined cobweb floater that compared to floaters suspended in the vitreous, is far more disturbing to see.

    • @spextrekid9410
      @spextrekid9410 Год назад +1

      Thank you. You just explained the side effects after my vitrectomy. I'm basically seeing a bunch of little pockets like that, all around my periphery when I close my eyes. It's causing the entire retina to shake as this partly attached, leftover vitreous is jiggling with every eye movement. Now I know what it is I'm looking at. You just saved my sanity.

    Thank you for sharing this Doctor. I am recent vitrectomy patient of 3 weeks or so because of retinal detachment. My surgeon is 2 hours away but i feel i must tough out the 1 more week to see them, however instead of just a bubble i think i am having an issue with pvd. I see these huge black clumps at the side of my vision spinning if i dont stretch my eye. That and the bubble drive me crazy sometimes. Cant believe i am saying this but im glad to have amblyiopia in that eye because sometimes its ignored. I almost just want the eye gone. It feels like a problem. I could barely see the big E before the surgery.
