These were my first homemade noodles ever, I do 190g flour, 10g starch, 90ml water and cook for 9 minutes. What can I say, the best noodles I've ever eaten❤🤤 Thank you Taiji
Thank you Taiji. My brother made a noodle dough last week and his wife(who is Chinese)made a soup with it. This as very timely since my neice loved it so she can make this for her parents.

Es ist echt witzig, englischsprachige Videos über japanische Küche zu verfolgen und dann alle Zutaten mit deutscher Verpackung zu sehen. 🤣
Egal. Liebe Grüße und mach bitte lange weiter so 😘

Healthy eating 👍👍👏
Hello Taiji san! I'm loving your channel! Japan is my favorite country in the world, I'm currently learning Japanese and I'm trying to see if I can replicate dishes from Japanese cuisine so I can try them out at home. Your channel is definitely going to help me out a lot! Thank you so much! I would love to do Spanish subtitles for this video or any of your videos, I think your explanations and the way that you make every recipe look easy and fun is awesome. I would love to share your content with my friends!! If that's something you'd be interested in please let me know! Love from Argentina
Wow that’s a lot of work for just 2 servings but I’m sure it’s amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
of course you can make it with bigger batch, then per portion, its not that much work.
That looks so delicious! I don't know that I'm up for making it from scratch, but you made it look fairly easy. And by the way, I LOVE your 'toe socks'! hehe!
it is actually much easier than you think, and the result is definitely worth it!!
HEY! Nice RUclips bling, Taiji!!!
Congratulations 🎉
thanx!!
Home made or foot made is always better than store bought. Thanks
true that!
Thank you again. This was delightful. I like your method for heel/step Kneading on the floor. Wondering how long will fresh noodles last in the freezer and also, how long will the Mentsuyu sauce last in the fridge? I’ll find out I guess.🙏🥰🍜
Congratulations
Foarte bun, mulțumesc! Aveți si alt fel de sos pentru taieteteii udon ?
Big 💗 from sanja's fantasy kitchen. Great recipe
thanx!
I would like to see how you make Japanese cabbage roll. Can you make a video on that? Please and thank you.
oh, ok. ill put that on the list!
thanx for the request!!
Great! I made my first udon using your recipe. And it came just great taste! Very chewy just my family loves! Never buying udon in packs anymore - they are expensive and just 🤢
So it is actually technically not "hand" made ... is it? 😜🤪🤭🤣🤣
hahaha, in this case, its feet-made! lol
@@taijiskitchen 😂😂😂
Are you living in Germany? The things you use look like they can be bought here… 😀 I love udon and will definitely give it a try!
yes I do!
Hey, I really like your videos!🍜Since when do you live in Germany? Kannst du auch deutsch sprechen?😁
ja klar ich spreche Deutsch!!
schon seit über 7 Jahren!
~ Looks & sounds delicious, Taiji! 🥢🍶 How have you been? Have missed seeing new videos from you…Hope all is well. ⛩
just being busy with my main job...
thanx, I am doing well!
@@taijiskitchen ~ So happy to hear that all is well. 🙌🏽
Idea for a shirt... An image of udon with the caption, "I knead it."
hahaha, sounds good!
I wonder if a manual pasta maker would work to roll out and cut the dough? Also bread flour has higher gluten so that might be a good substitution
yes it can of course work, although it might be too thin.
Instead of adding additional starch, would it work to add gluten?
idk, never tried it before. just give it a try, and let me know the result!
As i thought, udon are similar to italian hand made pasta
Do children often help making udon? I imagine little feet would enjoy this process.
yes indeed! this is such a fun thing to make with your kids!!
I am definately going to it like this, but isn't it traditional to use buckwheat flour? Do you live in Germany, since you use wheat flour and salt that is german.
Soba are made of buckwheat flour, Udon aren't.
@@veraganter8378 yes of course, when I thought of it I remembered.
I used my lifting weights to roll on it lol😂
Try making Indian style roti
I noticed that in your videos you never have and use a napkin. As the cuisine has a lot of soups and liquid ingredients in general and I'm thinking also about all those slurps, how do you keep your mounth/face clean/what do you use? =)
we just don't have the culture to use a napkin, this goes also to most of asian cultures. I never needed one in a meal in Japan. for us, we don't understand, why someone would need a napkin. the only explanation I can think of is that everything is in bite size, so that it goes straight in the mouth, without touching the lips. to pick up with chopsticks, the food cannot be bigger than bite size.
@@taijiskitchen thank you so much for taking time to reply =) Great point of view, really interesting! 🙏
5 grams is quite a lot of salt. Is some of it leeched out when cooking?
I thought so too, but the result does not taste salty at all, dont worry. probably due to the reason you mentioned.
if you dont want to, then you can of course reduce the amount as well.
Oh. When the video says in the beginning that it “takes a few more steps”, I thought you meant….
Oh nice, 56 minutes after upload
cool!!
@@taijiskitchen AHHH YOU COMMENTED JXJDJNAJDJD
My wife, who has nothing to do the whole day, will be deligthed to provide this easy receipe for me.
Don't boil the kombu or it will go slimey, and when you put the udon into the water, dont touch them for a minute or they'll break
Oishi so desu
oishii desu yooo!!
Big Love from pakistan 💚🤍
thank you!!
cake flour has the highest amount of starch
perhaps that work better!
musst man unbedingt mit den Füßen machen. mein Religion erlaubt es nicht Essen mit Füssen zu treten.😐
I honestly would never eat something I use my feet to make. Ewwww!
I thought so too, but there is a layer of plastic bag and the taste is the same!!
