In my own case, as a newly graduated attorney I was paid more than the 200 ish range, and that was 40 something years ago. On the other hand, as an Entertainer (appeared in a few movies) I received substantially more;). While a soldier, well, let's just say I was paid SUBSTANTIALLY less LOL, course I was 'working' some SERIOUSLY LOOOONG hours back then (VN era : Former FORCES COMMAND HQ, XVIII ABN Spcl Serv/Wfare"SKYDRAGON" here
AND, I've known a few people from that era who've made a lot more...a few of which are pretty well known i.e., classmate John Roberts, current US Supreme Court Chief Justice, another former drinking buddy-Senator Mark Warner, who went on to found a little company named "Nortel" and who I believe is still the Senior Senator from the State of Virginia, not to mention a guy I played poker with way back then and over the years since, I've shared a few MORE drinks with, who, up until the rise of Elon , was generally considered the richest single man on the Planet, i.e. Bill Gates.
Work Hard, DREAM BIG, and you just might surprise yourself with what YOU can accomplish, both financially and otherwise. I remember a little game company started by a couple of 'dreamers' that I I once did some work for called "Sierra On Line:)"
One thing to never forget if you're just starting out..
When someone tells you that a thing:
"CAN"T BE DONE",
Imho what they're REALLY saying is that THEY CAN"T DO IT!- YOU'LL never know whether YOU can do it, or not , if you don't at least give it TRY!!!!.)
It's YOUR life, live it the way YOU want to..
You don't have to be an American to live the "American Dream". You just have to "turn your eyes inward", figure out what it is YOU want, then GO FOR IT:)
(gets down off soapbox) g'luck
