This was on repeat in my head every day I was in the psych ward. So many people really do think people with mental illnesses are legit crazy but we’re just struggling and the people I met in there are some of the most honest, humble, and purest people I have ever met and probably ever will meet. They come from different places, backgrounds, all have different trauma and life stories but we’re all just trying to be the best versions of ourselves and get help. We get a bad rep cause society says if we don’t conform to a certain mold or if we’re just different we aren’t normal but what even is normal. The psych ward was seriously the only place I have ever felt normal or like I fit in. No one judges you in there and everyone is so open willing to share their own battles so we can help each other. Wish it was more like that out in the real world. In my experience I felt more seen, heard, validated, accepted and loved in there so normal can suck it we aren’t crazy we just have super powers we fight with everyday making us stronger not different.
Dude fr the people in the ward are the best. One girl in there and I had reality issues and stuff and we just talked. Can't talk like that with other people because they say shit like "you need professional help" or flat out don't know how to respond. Only my friend in there GOT IT
I'm about to go in one for my 3rd time and the people there make me feel like home because we all relate to the same problems and it feels like more home in a mental hospital than at home with my family. Like it is comfortable knowing your not by yourself in any promblem you have bc there are others your surrounded by that have your same problems.
