Nice work. Reference the belt sander, some have a metal ‘stop’ across the belt , against which a workpiece can be braced. It might be possible to find one for that particular belt sander, or make one. I would probably start with a piece of angle iron. You tend to see these installed more when the belt sander is positioned with the belt on top, providing a flat, horizontal surface, rather than as an edge sander. Many belt sanders can also be positioned to stand ‘on end’, with a small table on which the workpiece is held. These configurations would provide the desired stability. Don’t know if that belt sander supports such positions, but this might give you some ideas. Again, very nice work on the dust port.
