Reese's Cups are top tier Halloween candy.
As far as the coupons go, they're in addition to the candy, not in place of it. We still do that at our house with treat bags - in addition to candy, we include popcorn, single-serve bags of chips, and a coupon for a Frostee or something similar. But the candy is still there, and plenty of it.

Oh man, those PIzza Head commercials brought back some long forgotten memories from my childhood. Funny how one can completely forget something, only to have it come rushing back once some visual is triggered

I always loved the Pizza Head commercials as a kid. I remember a lot of these! I even have a couple of McNuggets in Halloween costumes! 😸

I lived in a small city growing up, and let me tell you, there were lots of people who gave away coupons, the most common was for Dairy Queen. There were some McDonald's coupons, too, but I found out later that they were affiliated with the business in some way, like regional managers, so I'm not actually sure how common this was in the 90's.
The houses we coveted most were the houses that gave away soda cans and full size candy bars. We were like a small intelligent network of ravenous gremlins seeking each other out and telling our friends what houses had what candy as we passed each other on the street. Good times.

1995 Peebs was quite Phat and Funky Fresh.
pizzahead was a character for pizza hut and they advertised a lot on nickelodeon. Also, Pete & Pete was a good show but I think they only had 2 seasons. 9:56 and I remember that black cherry slush at Burger King, I loved that 🖤🍒

I did not expect to see a commercial for Canada's Wonderland haha. For those that don't know it is in Ontario, Canada on the outskirts of Toronto. I think the Halloween Haunt event has been going for 15 or 16 years now, though this years' has been cancelled from what I understand. For obvious reasons. Basically, the park is open late and people in scary costumes run the around trying to scare people.
Reese’s is my favorite chocolate, gummy worms are my favorite candy though

Alex Mack (I beleive it's title is actually The Secret Life of Alex Mack) was a good show, if I remember right. I beleive it was about a girl who got superpowers after getting dumped over by chemical waste and the villains of the show were trying to find her so they wouldn;t be exposed or soemthing.

Hallowe'en Haunt at Canada's Wonderland used to be a big thing up here! (Outside Toronto) people used to love going to that when I was younger. It was cool.
