Just got back from Crystal River and stopped at the marina to look at Gheenoe's. Told the sales person I was interested in them from a guy I watch on RUclips...She says "Oh the guy in Key West, Key West Waterman" = Yup. Hey Gheenoe, time to sponsor up!
haha too funny! I've had a long relationship with Gheenoe that I haven't talked much about. I mention it in the boat build video with should be out in the next few weeks!
I know this is almost a year old, but my German Mom would take the left over rice and make it like Madeleine says for us to have as breakfast the next day, I make it for my girls now, it is awesome! And great take on Poke bowls, you constantly give me new ideas for the fish we get - thanks Aaron!
Lots of fun in the mangoves! We never had rice for desert, but for breakfast we would have left over rice with a couple eggs from the coup, cooked over easy, and put on top with salt and pepper. Generational recipe originated to stretch meals.
Great video Aaron! Some good catching for a friend. You’re a nice guy to do that. Madeleine, if you add raisins, nutmeg & cinnamon, it’s the rice pudding of my youth. Love the poke. Thanks for sharing!
Am in a dark place right now, and your vid notifications popped up. Thank you for taking me to a beautiful place again. Please keep up the great work, and thank you again.
Aaron I watch this channel now like a tv show. Every episode is on point. Thank you for the effort you put in to every video and how you communicate with your fans. You truly deserve 1 mil subscribers and if you keep it up you’ll get there. From an outdoorsman I app how real everything is and I also enjoy the cooking and consistently get ideas from your recipes. Keep it up man you’re the goat
I love ur creek videos n van certainly related 2 them..I grew up on Lake Surprize in key largo..I had a 12 ft jonboat with a 5hp game Fisher outboard..at age 10 I was fishing n snorkeling from sun up to sun down.this was back in 1980...
love your little boat videos. when I was younger we used to play 10/20 in the mangroves. a 10 ft aluminum johnboat with the 10hp and a 13 ft fiberglass with the 20hp. hide and seek. found some great places that way😁
Looked delicious !! Preciate the sunrise pics on FB this morning . Always an epic view . Even when storms are in the sky ! Hope the rest of your week is awesome !!
I ate the rice with brown sugar milk and butter as a kid too. Dutch heritage growing up in Australia! A trick with those soy sauce bottles to control the flow, put a finger on the other hole and it turns it off and on.
I always enjoy your mangrove videos including this one despite low tide and technical difficulties. You always keep it real and interesting. Awesome wahoo-bowls too. Thanks Aaron…and Madeline.

What Madeline’s mother used to make is what I would call here in the UK is Rice Pudding. I used to love the stuff as a child but not had any for a few years now. However it can be be bought in cans from the supermarkets.
Love your channel Aaron. You're one of my 4 favorites I follow that are from Florida. I watch you guys so much that I booked a trip to the keys for August to spend a week there. I hope and pray I run into one of you. You guys live a life I can only wish for. Keep up the great work! 🤙🏽
Aaron, You make throwing a cast net look so easy, You are one with the cast net. I struggle throwing my cast net. Thank you for teaching us and passing on all of your knowledge of fishing and diving.
Cast nets are easy if they're not too big. All it takes is a working technique and practice. I throw 6' nets easy enough but bigger than that they're harder. Start with a 4' net. 3 is too small and 5 is hard for beginners.
@@mattmedina1639 it’s a gheenoe super 16 . He’s currently having another one made in his hometown of Titusville FL. This model has the joystick controls. He did a vid on it late last year or so.
If you haven't purchased any merch yet hurry up. It sells super fast. The sun shirts with the hood are my favorite. Really good quality and super fast shipping. We got two for my wife and I so we would have a back up.. Great for when out on the boat. We are in Tarpon Springs. Say hi if you see us out and about! 😃🎣🐟🐠
Rice pudding/arroz con leche - my daughter loves making it. Not a poor person's dessert necessarily, just an old standard. I'm from Florida with long family history in Miami and the Keys, live in Texas now, and lived and fished in Oaxaca for a decade, so used to every type of dessert. Grew up making key lime pies from a tree on an old Indian midden in our backyard.
Right place wrong time but you still came home with some fish! "And this whole time, I just thought you were a mediocre diver" LOL. Another great video Aaron!

always glad to see the monday vid being posted! its finally warm enough out here in the rockies that I was able to drag the boat up to the lake and catch some sweet rainbow trout for the smoker this weekend, tight lines to you!
Hey Madeline, I grew up with using the extra rice from whatever dish was made. We used milk, sugar and cinnamon. My dad gave us this recipe. He was born and raised in Waterloo Iowa. I'm not sure if this is where the recipe came from, but it is one that I'll enjoy for the rest of my life.
Same recipe for me, @MayorRick. I was raised in N. Indiana but the recipe came down my mom's side of the family from the Amish/Mennonite community in Sarasota, FL. Love your videos, Dibs! Some day I'd love to go fishing with you!
Another cool low key snapper video. It definitely is relaxing watching your videos. Just got back from a relaxing week myself diving Little Cayman. Only using my camera to shoot fish though. Amazingly healthy reefs down there. Tons of grouper, snapper and lobster the size of dogs😅
Hey, great video on catching snapper and then cooking dinner with Madeline. I've heard of the dessert she eats. It's been a long time since I had heard anyone else putting milk in leftover rice. My mother made Rice pudding with raisins in it and she also made rice cakes with caramel. She boiled a can of sweetened condensed milk for about an hour and a half to Two hours and then left it overnight. If you try it don't open it until it's cooled All the way. Now I'm wanting to know if you have ever caught any snapper using a lure. Always great to see you guys and I look forward to seeing you guys soon.
@@KeyWestWaterman I've been seeing mirror lures that are clear resin and I wonder if they are one of the types used. Voodoo shrimp is a good one for snapper.
