    Safety tip, remove label from your rubber slip proff step ladder, a label is not good to stand on when wet

      Lol, that tank has been fun, anymore its just a val farm lol and enjoying the crazy looking shrimp. Tank where I made red rilis pop up by adding blue jellies. Tank was my old yellow tank. They just quit breeding with each other, put in like 500 reds that were lesser ones during a 75g red tank reset. The yellow females in there became berried as soon as they were around the reds. Then, I added 30 blue jellies to get rilis to pop up. Still get decent yellows that pop up, and most of the wilds are tinted yellow or wild with the yellow back stripe.

    You should do a sunrise to sunset video of your day.. to show how much more work it is than just pulling out the duds❤

      Most days is answering emails, packing orders, planning videos, doing water changes and so on lol. Try to make videos on the most interesting projects lol. Main focus this time of year is gonna be culling my tanks as hard as I can, so thats me sitting front of my tanks with TV culling shrimp lol, not that exciting haha.

    Hi Mark, beautifull Blue Jelly's you have ! What kind of moss are you using in your tanks and what is the purpose of this kind of brick you put aside your sponge filters and why you put it this way ? Thanks for all your videos and tips :)

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  9 месяцев назад +1

      Its called pilo moss. Brick is there to hold diy filters in place and the plecos like them, that is all. Lol, no secret of amything lol. Has no effect on .my water because my ph is already around 8. One of those things I did before I knew better, but I got lucky and it didn't effect me bevause my water is already so hard lol. Definitely not recommended for most folks.

      @@MarkShellyAquatics Thanks for the answers :) Have you ever considered trying to make Amber Pearls (from Blue Pearl Palmatas) those are so beautilfull but in the EU almost no one make them, and haven't see no one in France. When my skills at keeping and breeding shrimps will be better I'll definetly give it a try !

    Hi Mark, I recently got in to this hobby and Blue Jelly is my fav. But I have quite a small tank (start with 15 and now the population is about 50, recently I add in 13 more). But in the F1 and F2,... generation I got a lot of of wild type (around 70%), do you have any tips to improve the wild type shrimp? Thank you!!!!

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  Месяц назад

      Best thing to do is pull them out into another tank. Good blue jellies should breed pretty true. What kind of wilds are you getting?

    • @T-onionn
      @T-onionn Месяц назад

      @@MarkShellyAquatics Some are still blue with trace of red, and some are clear with parts of the body are in red ( For my tank, red and clear are the only color others than blue). I'll listen to you and make a new tank for all the wild type to stay in. Im in Viet Nam and blue jelly are verry rare here (where I got mine shrimps are the only shop that have blue jelly) so Im not sure that mine are good quality or not. Also, can I have your opinion on the best type of foods for these shrimp so they yield the best blue color (protein, veggie, combine,...)? Thank you

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  Месяц назад

      @T-onionn ahh, yeah, sounds like poor quality, but if that's all you have that's all you have. You'll probably get blues, reds, and red rilis, might be fun lining out a few of them.

      @@MarkShellyAquatics Do you know the line that they originaly use to make the blue jelly strands? Im also thinking of making them by my own if I can find the high quality breeder😎😎😎😎😎😎

    Dog pee 😂. How high is your new rack gonna get? Another shelf of 20's? If so you should do a tank with your blue jellys and your sweet Emerald greens or oranges! I need too get some from you around xmas and try myself i guess. I've been battling planaria in half my tanks the last couple months😢

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah there will be 4 more 20s on top. Not sure what I am doing in them. Might look for some more lines to try out, not sure

      Yep. Usually start out new tanks with 10 to 20 and they're usually bred out pretty good in 6 to 12 months.
