MTA Long Island Rail Road 3rd Track Main Line Action @ New Hyde Park (10/18/22)

As of October 2022, the main line expansion project, which encompassed building a 3rd track between Floral Park and Hicksville, and accompanying station renovations has been largely completed. Enjoy the morning rush hour action as we set up at New Hyde Park. For now, the full potential of the added capacity will remain unutilized until East Side Access opens, upon which time the schedules will be completely overhauled and service increased substantially.
