@@andipajeroking exactly. The video is a good reminder of the story, but people should at least try it. The feeling of becoming stronger is very unique and only achieved through gameplay.
@@andipajeroking Nah, I tried but it has aged terribly. That subgenre hasn't aged well at all. 2D stuff with isometric perspective like Baldur's Gate, now that has aged better and for that I can make time.
@@duhmzdaih it s not about the graphics, it s about the gameplay, setting and atmosphere. Those are better than many more modern IP s. But I agree, the beauty is in the eye of the bee(r) holder.
I tendd to play most games in english, as I find the localisation substandard nearly every time. Gothic is the only exception. The Nameless Hero's and Xardas' voices in polish are so ingrained in my memory, that I cannot play it any other way. And they fit so well... and then there are those that don't fit at all, but make the experience even more memorable, with the voice actors doing their best to make the 5th non-crucial NPC they are dubbing sound at least slightly different and unique. One of the reasons I dread the Gothic Remake - not the "new" fighting system, not the "reworked" map, not the "updated" quests... but the fact, that some of those voices are gone now and the game won't be recreated with the same actors.
I live in the UK and I can't stand the stereotypical medieval period voice acting done in English so cringey And the main character always speaks Like Batman - U.S. Like Guy Ritchie films - U.K. Nothing gayer than the latter
This game taught me so much about life i have a tone of philosopahy and life notes that connect to this game I have a folder of 20 gb wtih quotes I cam up with and things i learned with how to naigate in life and how many lessons from gothic can be used and incoperated in my daily life this is one of my favorite games of all time Love this game with a passon like this game is litterly in my heart but its just the first 1 idc about the others also this game is a year older than me carazy I played this when I was 7
Since i came across Demo (which was english of course) i still like to come back to it, even though i am in possesion of full version in polish ( where they replaced Deathcries and pain sounds for somewhat less impressive ). And of course it's more fun messing up with "voicepitch" in english version.

Damn. English voicing of this game is really not good. I've played on German, Polish and Russian, and all of them sounds right, like a real harsh world. English one - sounds like a game.

No, Bulco is a completely different character. He is a mercenary in Gothic 2, serving Silvio. Bullit is a guard in Gothic 1.

English one - sounds like a game.
But in Germany is the harsh world the reason why we all love Gothic. If the Remake will be like Engish version it will be a flop, safe call
Didn't play Russian one, German was decent, English was emotionless and Polish voiceover was way too overaffected for me to enjoy the game.
