In my mining spot I created 3 custom marks (iron1, iron2, iron3) at the foot of where the iron is. Then I send 3 miners each one to just mine those spots. I also have a 110 Master Warrior guarding them from those desert wolves. Fenced the perimeter and added some guard post for the guard to walk as the others mine. Need to get a teleportation over there to make my life easier. Great video brother!
The different colours for the damage tell you if you’re using the right weapon type and hitting the right spots: Grey - you’re using a weapon the enemy has (high) resistance against, e.g. sharp weapons against claw tribe barbarians White - normal dmg Orange - you’re hitting the weak spot of the enemy Also, your health is super high in near death state because of one of the torch of eternity mask nodes. That basically saves you from dying if people are still fighting on top of you and you take aoe damage
There’s an anti radiation tower you can get by going to the ruins at the northwest in the desert. It only has a range of 30 meters though. It’s in the room with the tactical guidance mask. Have to kill the big boss to get it. There’s a spot in the desert to the southeast that only has 1 elite wolf at a ruins with lots of iron around. If you place the excavation pit in the right spot. You don’t have to worry about the wolf and be only miss out on 1 iron node.
Nice video, might have to try that setup myself. Always teleporting there and mining manually. Those bats are dangerous though. First time I went there I had the disease and brought it back to my base, which killed quite a few of my tribesman :-(
You can name your portals to make it easier as you get more and more of them. You can also just set markers and tell your guys to mine around the markers. Love your videos!
Everytime I do rename the portals they reset haha and never keep the name. I should have just set the markers. But I will find another Iron mine because those bats are a nightmare.
Obsidian location is all around the Holy Ruins Volcano but my mining spots are around the Ancient Altars which are distributed in a circle around Holy Ruins Volcano, by the way you can also visit those Altars from time to time because at the top of them(after doing some parkour) there is a chest with yellow crystals and usually a table with Tech Points
If you have unused red crystals that you're not using you can convert them to yellow crystals instead using the mysterious stone table. I got lots from dungeons and ruins and they just sit there filling my storage boxes. Might as well make use of them 😅
My main base was right on top of the area they placed that new portal in the update. I built a base bridging across the river. was a good location as its near a main camp and tons of Iron. I built just in the trees very close to the wasteland entrance, this way I did not have to deal with the radiation.
Yes along the river, there is a scout camp and a outcast camp. I built in between them, south of the teleport. Was a little chilly for some crops but great access to the snow and desert
Personally this pace is friggin awesome for me,we're right at the same stage,though I haven't put the pit down.I may be lagging behind you as I don't be in-game as much as you but I'm def watchin (you more closely lol). Obsidian is not in a mine(the stuff I saw atleast),its high up on the volcanic slopes...you can't miss 'em when you see 'em I ran into that elite elephant 1st,it didn't end well!
You can get Steel armor and weapons in perfect condition in the Holy Ruins Volcanic Forest by defeating the Plunderer Elites, and you can get legendary steel armor defeating the Plunderer Leader(Boss) , also you can find meteorite ore in regular chests and Heat Proof Mod 3 and the Restrictive Module Tactical Guidance in the Boss Room , however i must confess the Boss there is hard , but the Elites wich drop yellow steel armor and weapons are manageable
My pyramid is above the river ruins dungeon, soyth of where y saw the trees, its a big flat area, perfect for Large buildings. Also, try going above the 50 tribemen mark once, in my game it wont let me recruit over 50 npcs for some reason, and since it shows 103 as the upper limit for both of us, i wanna see if the game limits u as well. Lemme know if this is a known problem or if you have a solution. Great video as always!
really curious to see if the follower survives. i've yet to have any of my foillowers survive out in the wasteland. they always wait till i come back the next day then die at my feet (literally). lmao. and I still have absolutely no idea why. I made sure they had water, food, water, a bed, and even used one that was native to the area and had that level 3 rad protection talent. my last ditch effort is to try an anti-radiation tower (just got one couple days ago).
Ok, I have a two questions. First, how do you increase the range of gathering for tribesmen (I'm at 30m)? Second, how do you select which resources you want your tribesmen to collect (like how did you just select iron)?
First and Second Question both have the same answer. Can only do it with the Logging Camp, Excavation Camp etc. You go into the work tab of the tribesman you have selected and click the job gathering at the camp and you can select it.

The obsidian is around the volcano. It’s just randomly around. No mines
I found obsidian nodes to mine, while exploring around the volcano, west of the fog frog pyramid.

I built a large base in this area, I really like it, the bears can be a pain but it is close to the desert and a lot of resources.
Once the land was cleared was there enough Flattish land to build outwards?

Do npc's actually use beds by themselves? Mine just sat around the bonfire, I never saw any one of them using the bed.
Mine use the beds but not terribly often.
I have seen 2 of mine sleeping in the beds as soon im 2 yards from them they get up 😂
Its rare to see but I have caught one of mine once in a bed but as soon as you get close to them they get up.
