    It's best to turn in items. Dishonest people could take things with no remorse. An older man dropped a $20 in grocery store. I picked it up and chased him into parking lot to return it to him. He was very grateful and I felt good about myself for doing right thing.

      Totally agree!! I’ve done that several times in my life and I always have a great feeling afterwards ❤ Honesty goes a long ways and you never know if that person is going through something and having it rough. Especially these days ❤

    We vote it is best to turn it in and hopefully it will be safe for whom ever lost it. Last fall whilst eating in Shipshewana Indiana at an Amish restaurant, an older Amish couple walked by our table, and as they neared the door to exit we saw a huge roll of money fall from the man's jacket. We ran and picked it up and rushed after the couple and returned the bills to them. The lady teared up and told us that it was their life savings and they would have been devastated if not returned to them. Honesty is still the best policy!💗

    Being a long time horse owner and rider and horse lover, really enjoyed the Lexington Park Horse tour. A draft horse is a "large breed" horse. Saddlebred is a particular sometimes gaited horse and show horse. I would always turn whatever I found in to an office or lost and found.

    I always give what a find to someone in charge. If I can't find someone I think is reputible, I go the the police and give it to them. One time I found a pocketbook and called the owner. The man came with the wife and he was so grateful there was a lot of money I thought. No, NO, the man said thank goodness because he didn't to pay the price of replacing her make up! True story. Nice video, thank you!

    Yeah turning items in to a central location like a visitor center or front desk associatiated with a location is better than just leaving it. Usually like 30 minutes or so depending on the situation is a good wait and see moment but if you can't track the person it's best to have it in a associated location for lost and found. Glad to see you on the road again jacob!! Can't wait to see your next adventure!!

    Edit to answer your question: Yes, I think it's best to turn it in, to keep it safe, because most times, like in your case, you'll go back to the office and see if someone turned them in. I trust myself turning items in that I find that aren't mine, but I don't trust others, so knowing I saw something, and put it somewhere safe, is a better outcome to me instead of just leaving it there.

    Re: lost items
    I think that you should turn found items in if they are valuable or obviously personal... If you find a dropped happy meal toy in a parking lot or something basically worthless like that I feel like that's yours now if you want it... Ditto if you find lost loose cash unless you actually see it being dropped, no one can prove who that belonged to, congratulations... You should be aware tho that if you turn in a wallet there is no guarantee that the employees of the establishment won't steal any money from it and then claim that it had none in it when it was turned in... This literally happens at the grocery store where my partner works routinely, it is essentially an open secret...

    @BartSilverstrim Год назад +2

    Turn in the keys to some official office. The person who lost an item can then check for them with others who can check. If you leave them out, especially given that today's "keys" are often electronic fobs, they could be damaged by rain/snow/being stepped on or the keys could be stolen and used to locate the vehicle in the parking lot and then unlocked and rummaged through, if not stolen. Being close to closing time shouldn't (in theory) usually be a problem...why would the park/museum/etc. be completely without staff while visitors are on the premises? It may be an inconvenience to find someone at that time, but the threat of what would happen leaving keys accessible to other visitors seems worse than leaving them with staff.

    You was only an hour and a half away from me!! I love going to the Kentucky Horse Park!! When I was way younger I actually was lucky to get the chance to pet and see Secretariat ❤ Lol I love watching people that don’t live here or isn’t from here rather, come and visit and learn about the history of the horses! My uncles have farms and they have horses so I definitely am lucky bc 1: they only live 2-3 minutes away from me and 2: we go riding on the horses sometimes and it’s so fun ❤ And yup I love to go see Cocaine Bear too 😅 Can’t wait to see the movie too!! Glad you got your keys back! The staff are pretty good at finding lost items 😅 oh! And during the winter months the horses are pretty much inside and such bc it’s cold in the winter. But they do roam the plenty of acres they have and love as well 😊 Be safe on your travels Jacob!

    An International Camel Museum would be a Halloween haunted house for Jacob.

    I think it’s better to turn in lost items. Not sure about cash though. I think it would depend on how much. Enjoyed Lexington, thanks.

    Always the best thing to do with lost items is to turn the items to the customer service or cashier of the store/place you are at. Glad you got your keys back, always scary feeling. I used to work with thoroughbred yearlings. I miss working with them. One i handled went for a 1 million dollars at the September sales at Keeneland Racetrack
    Keeneland racing spring fun place to go and the castle in Versailles Ky is really cool place too see if you ever come back to Kentucky.

    I think it's better to turn it in. Someone might steal lost items if you leave them.

    How fun ^^ our hotel signs are always with one side who said welcome and the other do not disturb 😅 never saw a double sided do not disturb. Learning something new everyday ;). When I find something I will give it to the front desk or the police station ^^.. The KFC Colonel yeah actually I saw a documentary a week ago about him 😅

    No curse Jacob, It's just a co-incidence. Keys - I would want to make sure they got to the right person in the safest manor I could humanly possibly get them to them. I was raised not to touch what did not belong to you. But we live in a unpredictable time with people whom aren't very nice. I liked your snowglobe. Not sure about the movie with the way things get disstorted. Will be Interesting.
