The two-headed baby is supposeldy the real one from Barnum's show in the1920s though. Is Mountain Oddities lying?

It is very special how U.S.A. citizens celibrate, and appreciate oddities. They are a great way to express oneself: who you are and who you are certainly not. Also, an oddity makes an easy start for elaborate and interesting conversations. So happy when Jacob posts another oddities video.

I used to go to the Natural Bridge wax museum all the time as a kid. Always wondered what happened to some of those figures and amazingly, the swinging rope boy that greeted you at the entrance is here at this museum. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I still miss going there since it closed.
The condition they had those axolotols in hurts my heart.

I live about 20 minutes away from Mountain Oddities! I go there fairly often. The owner is the literal nicest man I think I've ever met. The comic shop guys were great too. They opened a new location just up the road from Mountain Oddities. If anybody is ever in the area, visit both of em if you can!

Not sure what to say??? Some great oddities, but the museum itself reminded me more of a Thrift Store, or a Salvation Army store than a museum.....the atmosphere itself does nothing for me. ...just the vibe I got. As for your presentation, well done.
I nearly jumped out of my seat at around 26 min mark. One of the masks I produce is in the Creature from the Black Lagoon display.

As a former exterminator I've found many petrified cats, dogs, snakes under homes in a dry crawl space.
That dissected gorilla even tho fiction seems pretty sad to me 😢
I wonder if that swinging boy was also the same one that hung in the window of the old wax museum on the strip in Gatlinburg. I believe it was called the American Historical Wax Museum. It went out of business early 90’s maybe.

I watched a RUclips video where a Rep. from Ripley's was taking some items on a tour and was stopped by customs. It was funny to see the look on there faces when they opened up the boxes he was traveling with. The only thing they would not let in for some silly reason, was a cows hair ball that had been in it's stomach.

I love the movie "From Hell" it is very dark and grimy. Depp did an amazing performance. I also Have that Planet Hollywood Bank. I can't believe you showed that. I bought it as a kid when I met The Goo Goo Dolls in the Atlanta Location.

Thats a mummifide baby manta ray and manta rays dont have stinging spines like sting rays do.
I'm pretty sure that seated mummy is another gaff. Looking at its hands, they just don't look totally convincing to me; as a prop builder myself, they're the hardest thing to do correctly.

Cool place. Seeing those soap wars on a string. I knew a guy that was in the Army In Vietnam. He came home with like 6 mummified ears in his bag. Those were the 6 VC he disposed of. Yeah, he was not right in the head but Vietnam wasn’t a vacation.
