Tunisia Offroad Expedition December 2023

Epic winter offroad expedition to the north African Tunisia with two Landcruisers. Driving around the entire country starting on the north coast visiting the most interesting Cap Angela the northernmost point of Africa. Continuing to north riviera Tabarka with their beautiful Aquiles de Tabarka. Visit Ancient towns like Dougga and Bulla Regia driving south to Bou Hedma NP to drive the narrowest drivable canyon. From Gafsa turning into the most beautiful part of Tunisia reaching Canyon Mides on the border with Algeria. Going thru desert oasis like Chebika Oasis. Driving on the dry sea bed Chott el Rharsa visiting the iconic filming site of Starwars Mos Espa. Crossing international festival in Douz and reaching Jebil NPk in the heart of Sahara. From this point 4 days long remote crossing of the Sahara desert driving in the high dunes. Visiting places like Mars Camp, Lake Houidhat Erreched and camping Zmela. Abandoned city of Old Guermassa and 7 Dormants Mosque were just another highlight. Resting in Djerba for two days while watching crocodiles in crocodile park and driving to Flamingo island. Back on the mainland we could visit 2nd WW bunkers of Erwin Romal and overnight near Troglodyte underground houses in Matmata. Traveling south we could visit the largest Amphitheater in Tunisia in EL Jem and continue to Thermal of Korbous and visiting the most rated touristic sports in Tunisia like Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. Before leaving back we had a chance to see Zriba Olya and Mosque Sidi Mayden. Epic offroad trip indeed.
