As a western man, I loved first the melodies of the songs. Next, Teresa's delivery of a song is so expressive. Some of the orchestrations could be better. The miking could have used better quality mikes to capture more of her expressive nuances. Though English subtitles of her songs are few, I really appreciate it when someone translates her words. When you go to Thailand, many cabaret shows include some Teresa Teng songs. The performers do a beautiful job, very tasteful and a highlight of their shows. The audience appreciates it. Teresa's songs need to be performed today, or in the future they will be forgotten. Teresa was a dedicated professional, always working on perfecting her craft. She worked hard in the studio. She loved to perform live in front of her fans. I wish she could have had better medical attention, so she did not have to suffer so much from breathing problems. Imho, TT was the greatest female singer of all time. There is no western singer that comes even close to her ability in singing sad love songs. Once I heard her voice I gave up listening to western love songs and I don't even understand any of the languages she sings in except a little Japanese. Check out the video Ai wa Suna no Youni by TT (Love is Like Sand) my favorite Japanese song by her. And there are so many great Chinese and Japanese songs by her, hundreds.
