I realized that it's not just Western cartoons that have kidified spin-off adaptations. It's rare in Japan, but they do have some animated series that became a part of this trope. Here are some examples: 1. Attack on Titan: Junior High re-imagines the main cast of Attack on Titan as students in a middle school, with the Colossal Titan as the school's principal. 2. Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya takes the characters of Fate/Stay Night and puts them in a Magical Girl type of show. 3. Might not be classified as "kidified", but Tsubasa Chronicles places the Cardcaptor Sakura characters in a fantasy setting with a new story. 4. Isekai Quartet is a school crossover involving characters from Tanya the Evil, Overlord, Konosuba, and Re:Zero, with Season 2 adding characters from Shield Hero. 5. I don't think it counts, but I'll add Digimon Adventure Tri on here, as it follows the main 8 kids from the first Digimon series, only with them as teenagers. And I think that's about it.
As someone who enjoyed the teenage "X-Men: Evolution," it'd be fun to see a teenage Bruce Wayne as Batman--MAYBE retconning the Batfam as sibling figures he helps rather than beung a father figure to them.
You should do a nostalgic video on kids shows that involved Monster Hunting, like Scooby-Doo and The Archie series. Cause I remember this one show about teenagers that would hunt creatures, but I could never find the name of that show.
The closest I can think to a “kidified” Transformers series is Rescue Bots, which is meant for younger children than the original series. Ironically, I started watching the original series (AKA “G1” according to us fans) back when I was 2 going on 3 years old back in the mid 80s. My niece started watching Rescue Bots around the same age. My mom was trying to find something on TV that seemed interesting and I found the original, and I was in the same boat with my niece. History repeats itself, I guess.
Bot bots is definitely the kidified version of transformers. a strange energon mist descended from the sky, covering the mall. It brought things inside to life as tiny Transformers who then assembled into tribes based on the store they came from.
True, although I felt its sequel series, Rescue Bots Academy, was more of the kidified series since it had actual child Cybertronians as the main characters.
Not really since most iterations start with him in high school like it. I do plan to cover the show some kinda way in the future since it's one of my favorite versions of Spider-Man though.
I remember so many of these…Scooby is the BEST lol…there was also Quack Pack with the trio as teens…and Flintstone Kids had a special episode that dealt with drugs
I have to agree with A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. It was one of the shows that stayed true to the original, and A Pup would add more comedic moments and even make the characters more cartoony than their adult versions. Also, the Flintstone Kids are also awesome, especially the Captain Caveman and Son segments.
@@jeremyriley1238 think Flintstone Kids was before my time…saw the normal HB shows on Boomerang but don’t think I ever saw the kid versions say for clips or specials
I was not into most of these spinoffs. Baby Looney Tunes I hated because despite the name, the Looney Tunes were not looney at all (at least Bugs Bunny Builders proved that Bugs and company can be Looney, especially in a show aimed at preschoolers, while keeping the slapstick violence out because of said preschool audience). Yo Yogi is another one I didn't like. I never saw much as a kid, but seeing episodes on RUclips, I can see why some consider this as one of the reasons why NBC decided to stop doing Saturday Morning cartoons in favor of TNBC. If a reboot is attempted, then keep them as they are and don't rely on lingo and pop culture too much. Granny taught me that when she tried to said lines like "Haters gonna hate", as certain characters do not need to use lingo and memes to stay relevant. The Muppet Babies reboot is underrated. I get it's not too similar to the original cartoon, however, what I did like about it is that characters are actually closer to how they were portrayed in media where they are adults (Animal is actually a drummer instead of a wild toddler, Gonzo is his daredevil self and not treated as a weirdo, and Statler and Waldorf are back to doing what they do best: being the two best hecklers in television history, although they also show kindness as well). Also, it added in baby versions of Muppet characters not seen in the original (never did I wish to see a baby version of the Swedish Chef who was a more competent cook than his adult self). And yes, the reboot does keep close to the original cartoon that cannot be released on DVD unless it's a greatest hits compilation, as it still has the power of imagination. Popeye and Son is okay. It suffers from the same reason as The All-New Popeye Hour, as it has to do away with the spinach-powered fisticuffs the sailor man is known for in his theatrical shorts due to those meddling TV censors wanting him to be a good role model. It is also the first series where someone else voices Popeye after Jack Mercer, the original voice of Popeye, passed away.
Also do animated tv shows Based off of animated films Such as legend of tarzan Timone in pumba Lillo and Stitch Tangled the animated series Zutopia plus Monsters at work The little mermaid Animated series and Aladdin The Animated Series
I wanted to ask if you're using a standard AI voice, or if this is really you. If it is really you, you have the most TV dad voice ever and I find it comforting.

I remember this trope being EXTREMELY popular back in the '90s, so I grew up with most of these. It seems to have made a comeback here in the 2020s.
I grew up watching Tom and Jerry cartoons when I was a kid 😊
I was into the original, but the kids show, not so much.
Baby Looney Tunes before the introduction of Floyd was amazing.

That's a good Idea. There was several shows that did this copying Scooby-Doo. Thanks for the suggestion. I put it in my notes
