    Love the build man. I’m currently working on getting a early 80s fox body and was planning on 351w with a turbo and that’s when I stumbled across your videos. This are SUPER helpful and I plan on use them to my advantage in the future. Love the channel definitely earned this subscribe!

      I'm still learning myself and figured I'd share. (Second turbo build, I melted the first one down due to bad tuning on my part) Should be putting this thing on a dyno soon to see how well it works out!! Besides all that this is the real reason I started this channel, to interact with new people, make some new friends and hang with family! Definitely looking forward to future comments.

    just sub'd. sic car man. I'm doing a 68 single turbo and i was psyched on my first start up too.. no better feeling.. my 302 wasn't a junkyard pull, but it's been sitting for years and had some slight pitting at the top of 2 cylinders that scared me, but it seems to run strong so far.. i hope to find me a 351 for cheap. are you just using hoodpins? latch deleted? i think i need to so i can fit my intercooler right there, but I'm somewhat sketch to do it without a safety. i want to use the quik latch push buttons on mine, but soooo pricey.. where do you plan to mount your intercooler?

    • @toyshopfab
      @toyshopfab  4 года назад +1

      Thank you and Yes I'm just using hoodpins and the intercooler is mounted in the engine compartment just behind the radiator. It is a cxracing water to air intercooler that i have mounted in a way that best suits me and it works very well!

      @@toyshopfab had to go run some errands.. came back and the video with test drive was first thing that popped up and i saw it.. guess i should have looked through the vids first. have you measured air temps before/after? i was curious how well those work. i don't know if i have the space for one tbh. i had also heard air-2-air was better for street cars and mine will be mainly street driven. i'll def keep watching and thanks for the quick reply.

    • @toyshopfab
      @toyshopfab  4 года назад +1

      My average air temperature is around 98deg with just water while driving around town and I've gotten it as low as 80deg when on the track (with the old engine) putting ice in a 3gal fuel cell i have mounted in the trunk and linked to the system.

    • @callofgeorge
      @callofgeorge 4 года назад

      @@toyshopfab ahhh.. ya, that's what they're more used for from what i read. track use and just put ice in the tank. that's not bad though with just water. thanks for the info.

    Sounds good but why tf you twisting a distributor without a timing light? And don’t say it’s by sound it’s not a carburetor.

    • @toyshopfab

      Didn't have everything I needed and just got lost in the moment but it had a timing light used many times since then!

    • @1953fords
      @1953fords 2 года назад

      I bet you never touched a distributor. No matter what you will always have to move it on a first start up. You can’t throw a light on on first start. You aren’t hurting anything. Also yes I can be by sound. Ideas higher you advanced it. Slower idle it’s retarded. Someday maybe you will try one
