I understand the sentiment behind Phil’s “don’t cry when I die” line, but he’s ignoring that the tears may be for those who will miss his presence. They aren’t denying the reality of Heaven.
Rejoice in hope, and in the knowledge that he will be with the Lord in Heaven.

That's a very interesting survey...half the things they mentioned is within their power of having. And if they did start believing and reading the word, they can't imagine how much better it could be. How much more they could obtain... including eternal life.

People don't have to wish for eternal life. It's freely given to all who will come.
I'm more confused than ever about why God doesn't end suffering after listening to you three. This is why the traditional church turns me off routinely. Phil is the only person I've ever found that I can listen to and never come away confused or frustrated. "Trained" preachers just flat-out wear me out with all their philosophical angles and know-it-all stances about how we are "supposed" to interpret the bible. The three amigos on this podcast are regularly guilty of this, making it hard for me to listen at times. When Phil jumps in (never enough times) and brings it back to the simple message of loving Jesus and his death and resurrection I feel a peace and understanding I struggle to feel with others.
If everything was Good how would we know the difference and also have an appreciation for the good days.That's something to think on.Praise be to Jesus and Thank God for Him .

They should rename these podcasts to "The Zach and Jase show".
Interestingly, those who come to the conclusion that God isn't good because he won't end suffering, themselves take part wholeheartedly in the sin that causes suffering. And most of them have no plans of changing their bad behavior. Many, even unwilling to admit that they are part of the cause, or needing themselves to change.

Phil and Jase read the 1984 NIV Thompson Chain Reference Bible. Their hard to find but I was able to get that edition on eBay. Hope you can get one it really helps me to follow along and overall the bible has a lot of extras.

Easy for man to avoid sin when he removes himself from all society? Harder for a man to avoid sin, when you HAVE to live with society. Is it not?
it's up to us to find our own happiness, we are resposible for someone elses misery but not their happiness, happiness comes from withing, just like our consience, we have to listen to God from within. I have been a terrible and wretched sinner for most of my life, I always heard my consience and it denied me of happiness because I wasn't earning or deserving of it.
I know we could be responsible for others misery when it's our loved ones that we may disappoint. I know that too well. I used to think happiness inside was possible with drugs. I was so wrong. One of the beatitudes in Matthew 5 says blessed are those that mourn and he promises comfort. It took me awhile to understand this. I've never felt real happy inside but God really does comfort and strengthens us in his own way.
@@kenny6363 they say Christ works in misterious ways, sometimes it is hard to see his plan for us, I like to think that rather than mistery it is a taylored plan he has for each and every one of us and it is hard to understend someone elses plan because it is not ours but theirs, we have made our mistakes by his plan to learn why he put us here individually in the first place, this I am sure of, we all have a job to do, and when we are ready and it is time it will be revealed to us. @@davidrogers707 I was thinking about what you said about Christ works in mysterious ways and I was reminded that this is true with God's love and forgiveness too. I sometimes struggle understanding how God forgives us and our sins are forgotten. It's a mystery to me how he could love me so much and not remember my sins. I am my own worst enemy sometimes reminding myself of my short comings while God has forgotten them. His ways are not like ours and I have to remind myself of this. It's been a blessing to me chatting with you and it has made me happy chatting about these personal things I haven't thought about in awhile. Thank you for your honesty.

I have been using it for about four months. It helps me quite a bit. I get it from Amazon. It's not a cure if course but it's working. I take it during the day, it keeps me going! It's like a anti inflammatory. I also take tumeric, that's for inflammation too. I could tell a difference in two weeks.

@Valerie Pratt Isaiah 45:7 "evil" in the KJV. It's typically rendered calamity or disaster in other translations. The last part of his statement concerning God's sovereignty over evil and man's will has been argued amongst theologians for centuries.
And what about the people Jace that say Jesus died for our sins so there's no reason for me to go to church or anything cuz he died for our sins I tell him the wrong they need to go back and read the Bible

Since God doesn't need anything from anyone there is zero manipulation from him. This makes since cause he don't need nuttin from ain't no body.
So if yah been goin' ta church? Don't matter. If been winning in life, done pretty good and yah love this world and the world loves you and yah wanna stay...well, statically speaking all these temporary tents gunna expire.

Eternal life isn't earned and nobody will ever deserve it. It's from belief and faith in the gospel of Jesus. His death and resurrection for our sins. God's grace not our works.
@@kenny6363 i'm not argueing with you, quite the opposite, I agree, it is earned and deserved through belief and faith, but, belief and faith don't account for much if our actions don't walk hand in hand with them, it's like continuously doing bad things and expecting an appology to make it right every time, eventually we have to prove with our actions that we are sorru, words are cheap without, saying without doing amounts to a lie.
Believe me, this I know, drugs, alcohol, my kids going without to feed adiction, all the sorry's in the world can never make up for that, rebuilding what I broke with true effort was the only way to repair that damage, it's healing more and more every day and I will never stop
