an hour of pete and patrick talking about their soul-deep artistic bond, what a treat. none of what they've said is new to me, but what is new is the maturity and comfort they're showing while discussing the subject and the band in general, which i love to see.

I love that Zane brought up the fact they are not ‘dumbing down their abilities’ because fall out boy should never be put in a box or genre. I love that they take risks and Patrick can deliver and showcase his voice in any way he wants. He shouldn’t have to sing a certain style just to appease the emo scene. He’s very talented and can sing any genre. Much love and appreciation for him, he’s a gem!

@@kelseyharmon9498 yes but their fandom won’t allow them to grow and evolve, they want them to be the same as they were in the beginning of their career when they were just kids. They are far too talented for that and don’t need permission from anyone to step out of the box their fandom has put them in which is emo rock.

Have never been what you'd call a fan of FOB. However, listening to two buddies from the next town over from my hometown, where I haven't lived in 12 years, makes me oddly homesick for sitting around at Delilah's talking about music with my friends. Great interview.

Quizá no tienes la capacidad de entender lo que Fall Out Boy es y hacen. Pero no tú importas! Jaja

Check out City In a Garden! It's their love letter to Chicago and it's one of their best songs. Activates an intense nostalgia for Chicago for me and I'm not even from there lol

He asks questions about their answers and shows he gets what they mean. It feels more conversational than a normal interview. I agree with you 100%.
He really butters em up too. I think that’s kinda funny.

I’ve never heard him say it but I’ve always known that Patrick is a “sound of the words” guy. Great vocalists are. I once heard that Mike Patton from Faith No More does the *exact* same thing, but he writes the words too, so it doesn’t always make sense.

Wow 12 minutes into the video and Pete is planting lyrics from infinity on high’s song “I’ve got all this ringing in my ears and none on my fingers.
The “canary in a coal mine” part.
