I have a lot to say about this album and as a producer I couldn't help but mention it I initially went into this with no expectation at all. after deliverance it was clear the level of creativity culprate was on. but this album is really something special. the control culprate has on his music is unbelievable. listening to each song you could pull it apart for probably months and still hear and discover new sounds. also the mixing and mastering just make the whole thing so crystal clear. every sound is how it's supposed to be in it's given context. even with all the shimmering details to acknowledge, the songs as whole pieces are something else entirely. the blend of genres in each track is so effortless it makes it seem like "genres" are being used as a musical tool of expression, rather than a category of music. what culprate shows on this project is really pushing the limits of creativity in electronic music. creativity aside, the technical display of ideas is quality. the nuances of how all the sounds move around each other spacially is just beautiful to listen to honestly. and to sum the album up very appropriately, the cover art captures the music so well, and I love the ai generated look. I'm very curious about the tracklist and overall inspiration behind the names, I hope he can touch on that in an interview or something. one thing I won't say lightly though, I'm on my third listen and can't think of one critique on it yet. which I haven't really had before with any other album. to me this project captures exactly what it means to express an idea as impactful as possible. taking time with your art and letting it grow into whatever it becomes. I'm certain each song went through a whole lot of changes and influences over time. especially since his last album 'others' in 2018, and all the time spent at home during 2020 to create. thank you for making the wait for new music so worth it, this is a gem.
Any chance of us seeing you back on the channel any time soon? As We Are, The Weatherclad Hills, Conqueror, and Tenderness are all tracks I still listen to regularly, it'd be awesome to hear you do more in that kind of vein again!
Currently sat on a 6 hour coach to Gatwick Airport and this couldn’t have come at a better time. Time to totally zone out and let Culprate take the wheel, offff we go 🤯
I love how this warps and cycles through different genres and moods and time periods and grooves on a whim. Like being entirely dislodged from time and space and tumbling through the looking glass
Vocals on Anza sound so similar to the Beatles, and you can honestly hear the inspiration of the Beatles in the beat, remind me of Within You Without You. Absolutely fantastic album. Culprate is truly an artist. A genius, and I don't say that lightly. From the atmosphere, to the sound design, to the melody, to the journey the song takes the listener on. This album is a masterpiece, and I adore that Culprate didn't just rush it to make beats for DJ festivals, but actual art. The immaculate details into each sound, placed deliberately for the story of the piece, from the complex and the simple, all orchestrated perfectly to portray a message/feeling to the listener. Can listen to this over and over and discover something new each time. Spectacular, and I'm grateful Culprate spent their time to create this.
Nammu is an incredibly interesting way to end such an enchanting album. It literally gave me so much anxiety that I nearly threw up, and then ended with a haunting melody that gently forced me back into my body. I can't explain nor express how badly I needed to feel that. Thank you Culprate. This is god tier stuff.
26:50 and onwards is so sick! The whole album is insane but from 26:50 its absolutely beautiful... theres no words! when 29:30 kicks in, I've never had so many goosebumps dude, this whole album is a work of art 😮 the technical drum patterns within this amazing ancient sounding flute😂 I laugh at how I explain it because my English is terrible, but it's so beautiful and technically astonishing dude, I freaking love it so much! Super talented
i just realized the image is moving on its own. this album is truly constructive to digital production as a whole. what a piece! actually incredible. every moment feels like it's own.
Man, just laying here in an empty room with this going on is making me see the craziest shit in my mind. This is so good. No drugs needed, this is gooood. Deliverance did the same thing for me. Culprate is unreal. 👏😮
Amazing sounds and melodies, been packing the project and eagerly awaiting the official release. This one goes straight into a playlist with "Deliverance" to create 2 hours of straight mind bending music. Congratulations, Culprate, I am a long time fan, since "Fingers" and "Cadillac Dreams" and all those old songs! In the last Electric Love Festival I put some of your old bangers into the playlist and my friends literally lost it! Wish you the best, thank you for all this incredibly weird and incredibly amazing art that you have created ❤
waited so long... finally here and its as perfect as i imagined it over the literally years. im rewatching "Lost" at the moment and some of the music here would really fit certain scenes. every song seems and sounds as if its been written over a very long time and with a much bigger picture in consideration. those are not "sick tunes", this is a very well crafted album.
Wow culprate, I've only just found you out my friend and I'm so glad I did. This album is absolutely beautiful and totally different, you've got your self a new fan!
I've literally just listened to 5 minutes so far and bloody hell, this is gorgeous! Deliverance was already among my favourite electronic albums ever, this could be something special as well
I've probably rinsed my test pressing vinyl over 30 times now ready for that final copy to reach my mailbox. This is a master piece transcending genres.
@@lilnightvision3637 KOAN Sound is more genre focused, their tracks sound similar to each other (not in the way that they're not original, but you recognize the same genres in their tracks), while Culprate doing much more varied music. I love both of them, they're fantastic
every time before i listen to a new culprate album, for the first time i accept that i know that i don't know just how un-ready I am for the tantalizing madness that is about to ensue...
Amazing stuff, as expected. Culprate will always be one of my all time favorites. The original deliverance expanded my music catalogue so much and made me discover a lot of my all time favorite artists (luke vibert, amon tobin, tipper and some more). Was my first time hearing electronic music that out there and immediately made a post online asking for similar music lol. Still a one of a kind album.
When I listened to this track for the first time, I felt like I was trolled twice in a row thinking the drop would come, but then there was another cliffhanger, and again! A friend of mine told me this last track is a whole EP by itself.

Jalaana is soooooo good
Utterly phenomenal work for the entire album on every metric
Jalaana. Oh my...
Jalaana is INSANE omg
I would have expected a lot more traffic on this album. i just hope culprate made enough money to continue. he is clearly in a class of his own
I think the crowdfunding should cover most if not all the money needed.
Oh fancy seeing you here hehe
It’s simply not music for gunfinger-of their tits wasted party kids. Sad but true
