    I have never put laptop in my groin area since my high school friend told me that keeping laptop close to genitals can harm sperm production or testosterone production, or something like that. I believed it and practiced it. turns out there is some truth to it.
    but now I put laptop to my side. but I am not sure if it is good for my spine. and I am not sure if I am giving lumbar curve to my neck my putting pillow but bending my neck involuntarily. I don't know. I have anterior pelvic tilt and trying to find whether this is related or not. probably not though.

    • @irvinespine
      @irvinespine  3 года назад +1

      Actually that is not bad as it forces you to do a bit of extension in both the neck and back. It is not a good idea to sleep on the stomach so let’s get that out of the way. I say alternating from sitting to lying on stomach to read is not a bad idea.

      I am not suggesting people be in their devices in bed FYI😉 should you choose to buy a new mattress, go with the medium firmness. There are places you go and lay in their test bed and based on your weight and how you sleep, they provide you different options. You get to lay on them to see which you like the most. Never sleep in your stomach btw. Check out other videos I have on sleeping. Type sleep in my channel to see the list.

      I am not recommending to use the laptop in any way other than propping it up to be at your eye level and then use a separate keyboard and mouse. Sadly I know most people use it the wrong way including laying down. This video shows how to do it IF someone decides to use it laying down. Watch my other videos under the playlist Ergonomics to learn other important points related to our devices, chairs and more.
