I love your approach to social media so much, I don't know how to explain it but it just seems very healthy. Also 100% agree with your view on shorts. I've been unsubscribing to a lot of people, even when I loved their long videos, not only because the shorts looked ugly on the feed, but also because they posted SO many that it ended up clogging my page

Depends on you honestly! Some people say that their views went down after they changed their account, but I didn’t see that on my end. The TikTok creator fund doesn’t pay as much as Instagram or RUclips in my experience, but I think it’s nice making a little extra $ on the side even if it isn’t much and I like being able to see the detailed analytics of what I post. TikTok seems to have even more opportunities to earn money through the app once you reach 100k followers though if you’re looking to wait.
