Seeing a bunch of questions on how to be eligible for monetization on Instagram as a creator, so I’m linking the information posted by Meta/Instagram here: business.instagram.com/creators/earn-money.
Working freelance has really opened my eyes to how unstable my finances were when I only worked a 9-5… 😅 It’s definitely unpredictable, but I feel much happier being able to work in a creative industry and having multiple sources of income. Also coffee sign is old old Target and mugs are Home Goods! 😊
i really appreciate how open you are about your work and income. i didn’t know that someone could make money from reels. definitely gonna have to take advantage of that. loved this video as always, your content is so enjoyable to watch :)
I’m so glad you enjoyed! The Reels Bonuses are relatively new (it started sometime last year) and I wasn’t really able to find that much info on it when I was starting to earn a little from it, so I wanted to share what I could. Hoping this helps!
I would love to see a another "how to" content creator video as a fellow content creator myself. It's definitely a hard place to navigate sometimes and would love to hear some of your tips and advice!
I’ll put it on my to-do list! I think the biggest thing is really to just keep posting your content on any and all platforms. It can feel overwhelming, but I truly enjoy making different types of posts for the different audiences - and you never know where your most engaged audience might be. Having an emergency savings/back-up plan as well as diversifying your income is also a huge thing if you intend to take it full-time!
@@AudrieStorme Solid advice thank you! I definitely will be trying to share my content on other platforms more often and see what works best. I swear social media can be so discouraging sometimes but I'm not ready to give up yet!
thank you for being so open with how you earn money within social media and how you edit your videos!!! I feel as though content creators like to keep these secret to themselves most of the time, but I could definitely see the passion you put into your projects and they always come out so lovely. p.s. that loop tip is amazing
Thank you for watching! I really like to keep my channel as a place to share what I enjoy and video editing is just another of those things heheh. I think the only thing I like to keep somewhat secret is my family life since they’re not really big on posting on social media 😅
This was really pleasing to watch, while being super informative as well. You are great at what you do and I'm so happy you make and share things in this internet space. Much love!
You’re so welcome! I actually grew up being taught to never talk about money (especially when I worked in a corporate setting), so I definitely feel “weird” talking about it. On the other hand, I really love my job now and get so many questions about it that I feel like it can be helpful for others that can’t or don’t want to go down the corporate route. Office life was definitely not for me. 😅
Any specific questions you have about the app or TikTok/Instagram? Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out what to focus on since it’s become just second nature to me to edit 😹

I loved this video. It's helpful for me since I'm trying to learn how to use Adobe in general. I'll be cool to see a more in depth video about adding the music and making it work with the video. 👏🏾
I have a video on that from last year! Under my “editing” playlist, it’s titled “How I Edit + how to find copyright free music”. All about picking the right song and syncing up the music in time with footage.
Always good to have multiple income streams. I was telling my teenage son he has soo many more little ways to make money when we just basically had babysitting and mowing lawns😃
It was actually a gift from a looooong time ago when I first started bullet journaling so I’m not exactly sure, but I think it might have been from Daiso!
Obsessed with your aesthetic! Would love to know more about Adobe Rush! More in-depth on how you edit your vids to correspond with sound and how you create the loop effect with your sound! Much appreciated!
I really always love and appreciate your talent in doing and editing videos. And also i believe all of us are getting back to work, so thanks for this motivation 💖☺️
Thanks for the video, it was super informative. I’d love if you shared more on this topic of how you monetize your social platforms as well as editing techniques.
This was awesome and very helpful. I would to see a behind the scenes from your videos. Maybe you can share how to find nice angles to film? Thank you so much 💗
Hmm. I think the “right angles” really just have to do with a lot of photography practice and composition. I’d have to think about how to make a video like that - I’ll plan out what shots I might need for B-roll footage but I really just choose what the shot looks like in the moment 😅
So interesting! And thanks for sharing the numbers especially. I know I was surprised when I learned what RUclips paid out ... some people instantly think Casey Millionare status .. but you do a heck of a lot more. Another great video! :)
Of course! RUclips payout is very interesting… I’ve compared earnings with other RUclipsrs and the dollar amount really depends on sooooo many things - video topic, time length, audience retention, re-watchability, country, etc. - not just views. It’s also just constantly fluctuating. Not the most reliable source of income, but definitely a nice one to have once you’ve built up a large enough library of videos as the revenue for older videos turns into passive income.
Heheh - that’s why it’s important to not rely on JUST RUclips ad revenue as a RUclipsr. Or not to rely on just one income source in general really 🤔 if 2020 taught me anything - it’s that 😅
Love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing this! I had a question about how you store your videos and photos. Do you use an external hard drive or pay extra for storage on apple?
Depends on what kinds of videos you’re looking to make, but lately I’ve just been using my iPhone 13 pro and my Canon G7X Mark III vlogging camera for everything.
@@AudrieStorme Thank you ! I’m actually looking for a camera to take pictures. Not sure but once I share my photos taken with my iPhone the quality looks bad.
I don’t know how helpful this answer will be because I really don’t do much in terms of trying to boost my engagement - my “strategy” has always just been to post more content. Sometimes my engagement is low (and it can be discouraging for sure), but it always picks back up eventually. That’s just kinda how it is on social media!
