I’m a postpartum RN and 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby and totally agree that being experienced in that area makes you more nervous about giving birth. I think it’s because we just “know too much” about the things that can go wrong
I completely agree! I am due with my fourth soon, and I’m more nervous than ever! I think since these times are very weird it doesn’t help.
Yup… midwife here and my fourth baby. Being a midwife makes me more neurotic 🤣 I already know just how bad and just how quick the shit can hit the fan. Creates more anxiety than if I was blissfully less aware like normal people. Statistics seem much larger when you’re a provider instead of a typical parent! I’m also a terrible patient. “What gauge is that? Mmmm just lemme do it since you blew my vein last time 😬” hahaha 😜 I try to take over way too many parts of my care now. Heck I caught my last kiddo myself and intend to do the same this time. I will be doing my own placenta delivery too. If I tear I would probably do my own sutures with a mirror if I could reverse images in my head! 🤣🤦🏽♀️ meh… maybe I will leave the suturing to my lovely friend also a midwife. She is really good I am just a neurotic micromanager as many of us healthcare providers are. I think attention to detail and determination to do it right on our own makes us good providers.

I have a similar pork chop recipe that I do in the crock pot, I call them smothered pork chops. It’s bone less pork chops, salt, pepper, dry ranch packet, and cream of chicken (I use two cans) it makes gravy for mashed potatoes so good and easy!

So exciting! When I was pregnant with jimmy last year I had bad nesting syndrome. I was always up cleaning everything and I even decorated my home which is something I never do. Lol
I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant with my first and our house is under construction and keeps getting delayed. We don't have a room for a nursery or room to store much baby stuff right now. So I'm here to nest vicariously through you! Haha.

I’ve never seen a mango cut like that. All I do is split the mango in two halves. Then I thinly slice both halves. Then I use a spoon to dig out the mango from the skin. It’s just seems to not be as wasteful.
