I’m ashamed at how much this album has grown on me after three listens. It’s certainly ambitious... as a Carti fan since SoundCloud, I’m kinda sad we probably won’t get the Die Lit style again. Carti always has a good ear for beats
I did want to agree with this comment in case it blows up. I used to be able to find really good/ new music several years back however YT’s algorithm and Spotify dont seem to bring new stuff. As a result when something comes out i tend to give it a few listens and this album has grown on me. There’s certainly several songs- for me- that are always skipped, but theres a lot that i listen to and dissect the layers of the beat and his inflection.
Some of the songs like "Place" were the real WLR. The sound was similar to his leaks from 2018-2020. The WLR we got in Dec 2020 was a watered down version of what we were suppose to get. The leaks ruined the original vision of WLR. The sound was suppose to capture a more developed Die Lit sound. Instead we got this vampiric punk distortion.

First time I listened to die lit I only liked like 3 songs; I still don't Ike a few but all the rest I listen to are literally some of my most played, most loved songs. I liked quite a few of the songs on this album: Over, feel like dyin, control, king vamp, iloveuihateu, metamorphosis, slayer really hit the spot for me. The more I listen the more I'm feeling like a lot of these tracks are going to grow on me; he's just one of those sorts of artists.
Hated the production at first but realized it’s genius. Really listen. Play it on some loud good speakers. There’s no way these vocals and low ends and low synths sound this good together. Shit bangs. Sounds clean when you really listen to the vision.
What’s best is the highs are so audible and clean throughout all that gain and heavy metal sound it’s awesome I love the fast paced driven leads and heavy heavy base

You gotta consider that the OG album was completely leaked. I’m assuming he felt it was necessary to adapt a new style thus the vamp and grudge vibe in most of the tracks. The unique production quality is top tier thanks to Kanye. I think it definitely could’ve used more features because once you get the same feel for a lot of the tracks, they start to get tiresome. One thing that really gets me itchy about the project is when he scratches his voice out to really solidify this sinister and hardcore vibe. It’s a good and bad thing. As a Carti fan, I really enjoyed this project a lot and I’m just hoping for a deluxe that has more features and a new vibe.

I did want to agree with this comment in case it blows up. I used to be able to find really good/ new music several years back however YT’s algorithm and Spotify dont seem to bring new stuff. As a result when something comes out i tend to give it a few listens and this album has grown on me. There’s certainly several songs- for me- that are always skipped, but theres a lot that i listen to and dissect the layers of the beat and his inflection.

Some of the songs like "Place" were the real WLR. The sound was similar to his leaks from 2018-2020. The WLR we got in Dec 2020 was a watered down version of what we were suppose to get. The leaks ruined the original vision of WLR. The sound was suppose to capture a more developed Die Lit sound. Instead we got this vampiric punk distortion.

First time I listened to die lit I only liked like 3 songs; I still don't Ike a few but all the rest I listen to are literally some of my most played, most loved songs. I liked quite a few of the songs on this album: Over, feel like dyin, control, king vamp, iloveuihateu, metamorphosis, slayer really hit the spot for me. The more I listen the more I'm feeling like a lot of these tracks are going to grow on me; he's just one of those sorts of artists.

Hated the production at first but realized it’s genius. Really listen. Play it on some loud good speakers. There’s no way these vocals and low ends and low synths sound this good together. Shit bangs. Sounds clean when you really listen to the vision.
What’s best is the highs are so audible and clean throughout all that gain and heavy metal sound it’s awesome I love the fast paced driven leads and heavy heavy base

You gotta consider that the OG album was completely leaked. I’m assuming he felt it was necessary to adapt a new style thus the vamp and grudge vibe in most of the tracks. The unique production quality is top tier thanks to Kanye. I think it definitely could’ve used more features because once you get the same feel for a lot of the tracks, they start to get tiresome. One thing that really gets me itchy about the project is when he scratches his voice out to really solidify this sinister and hardcore vibe. It’s a good and bad thing. As a Carti fan, I really enjoyed this project a lot and I’m just hoping for a deluxe that has more features and a new vibe.
