royalroamer agreed. the "cheesiness" or optimistic cuteness- the up beat spirit of the 1980s and early 90s was the greatest thing about the jingle and like jingles across all advertising of that time. It had spunk, optimism and flavor. sure it was to shill carbonated beverages but it reflected something more, the coming promise of a new decade(1990s) the end of the Cold War and a still vibrant American spirit.
I like that ad the singing. Love my favorite is the first advertisement that used Santa Claus to advertise their product when Coca-Cola advertised that 'thirst knows no season'
This ad always made me happy when I saw it as a kid. It comes from a time when the things we saw and heard from the media actually evoked happiness rather than made us upset, like today. Today’s ads try to be too clever or too serious and are awash with horrible music. I wonder if media companies made ads like this again, would we see a more sane society? And that key change is what makes this song.
Yeah they just don’t make em like this anymore, the 80’s and early 90’s were the best for them, and you really remembered the brand, just like the Toys “R” Us jingle !
this is pretty awesome! these and the joey diggs ' always coca cola' ad campaign were the best ever. maybe in the spirit of remaking everything now-a-days -- the coca cola company should revive these long lost gems.
Trying to figure out the origins of this particular edit -- the first :60 is unique - then it cuts to the last 1:30 of the beginning of the Swedish release - although the Swedish full version is 3:00 in length - so this version actually cuts off the last 1:30 of the Swedish full version. Anybody know what country this was released in? Thanks! And does anybody have this exact edit on vinyl? Update - I have since discovered the first :60 of this is a cut called "Dancing" and then it goes into the cut called "Can't Beat the Feeling" -- they just seem to be combined for this particular "version"
A good amount of companies feel that commercial jingles aren’t as important as they used to. And the songwriters don’t always put a lot of effort into writing them anymore.
Wasnt there another Coke ad with a catchy lyric "coca cola is a part of your life, cant' beat the feeling". It was more of a lighter and nicer song. I think it was 1987.
You can't beat the feeling is still the best commercial of Coca Cola ! Hope this comes back someday in the commercials !
Inge Devos I agree was the best

This and Chicken Tonight, are the two most addictive commercial jingles ever 😅

The "Can't Beat the Feeling" campaign developed by McCann-Ericskon.
This might have been a possible inspiration for the Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers episode, The Case of the Cola Cult.
Absolutely love it ❤

It does not matter. The largest shareholders of both companies are the same.

This version from the female singers are rare, the normal coca cola song was not with female singers 😊😊😊😊😊
nice
why are commercial jingles so bad now?
They should bring this Jingle back, since this one is 30 years ago! The best commercials were in the 80's.
A good amount of companies feel that commercial jingles aren’t as important as they used to. And the songwriters don’t always put a lot of effort into writing them anymore.
@@jdude9314 Same reason music has been getting worse and worse every decade since the end of the 1980s.

Coca Cola
This is actually from 1988.
When you drink something that Bill Cosby tells you to drink, you're going to feel something
You won't because you'll be passed out.
Who's performed this song?
Viktor Mondi her name is Robin Beck
Robin Beck did a different Coca Cola song - First Time.
The Song is written by Robin Batteau and Joey Levine (from Ohio Express). I read that Levine sang the male part of the song.
