If Jagermeister is interested in pushing this further (please do it!) I'd love to see a build that uses multiple Jagermeister Tap Machines built into the loop on a full time basis, where radiators could pull the coolant down to ambient, and then have 2-3 tap machines flowing in series (or one beefed-up Tap with a larger Peltier) drop the temps to below ambient. This plan wouldn't achieve below-freezing temperatures, but even sub-ambient cooling on a permanent basis (rather than just a single shot of boosted performance) would be awesome!
Peltier modules aren't efficient enough to do this effectively, but if you're interested, linus tech tips did a video where they made a custom setup to use 20 or so modules to cool a pc sub ambient, all custom hardware in a ridiculous setup bigger than the pc itself!
With the hold in the bottle, you can now put it in the loop and have the pipe go through the bottle so it looks like the liquid is going through the bottle giving the illusion that the bottle is doing its job.
I am wondering about this too after thinking about those snap on phone coolers, maybe they can find a way to integrate this with today's tech or hardware.
Should route the tube throug the back of the Yager bottle (bottle is just a slip cover for the tube at this point) and down through the bottle opening to the fitting.
yeah... but he cheaped out again in this build. using the bottle is the most crucial step of a Jägermeister build. Really lame outcome and many lazy solutions that had really easy fixed and would have made the build 10x better. 7:30 i mean look at this.... its atrocious. They should give the next build to someone else
I feel like the spirit of this challenge was less about cooling the pc and more about finding a way to have the Jager from the pc dispensed into a cup for consumption, and even replaced by popping a fresh bottle on.

Would've been cooler if you maintained the integrity of the tap machine... Like a tube passing through the inside of the inverted bottle hidden inside the liquid, and maybe increasing the diameter of the tap nozzle to fit the outgoing tubing...
Fun video! Just one thing. Although Propylene Glycol has a lower freezing point, it is not used in antifreeze, Ethylene Glycol is. Propylene Glycol is actually commonly used in medicines, cosmetics and food products to help maintain moisture. It is also commonly used in smoke machines, and is generally non-toxic. Ethylene Glycol on the other hand is poisonous.
Ethylene glycol is coolant, propylene glycol is used in aerosols and food preservatives. Completely different chemicals, in makeup and application. Pretty big distinction there.
PG and VG are the bases for fog machines as well as vape juice. Yes. Fog machines are literally massive vapes and the only difference is flavoring put into vape for consumption. This is why vaping is relatively safe compared to smoking.
Definitely a fun challenge to watch! Would've loved to see you do a bit of OC'ing on this system to see what you could get with the extra 10-18C you were getting.
you could potentially get more effect with a two loop setup. install a large insulated reservoir in your PCs loop, which otherwise should be absolutely normal. make the second loop cool the water of the reservoir with the external cooler. the idea is to first start the secondary loop and let the water in the reservoir cool down as far as it would get. THEN switch on the PC and run your benchmarks. An improved idea would be a Two reservoir setup, with one reservoir being filled with chilled coolant as described above. when the benchmarks start the coolant would be fed through the loop into the second reservoir, this way the water that has flown through the loop would not warm up the coolant in the reservoir.
all responsibilities come to a dead stop the moment you've committed to putting the Jägermeister to your lips and some say even cracking open the bottle may have been a bad idea. and we love it so.
Awesome video, please repeat same test with full sized tap machine. Could be epic and has crossed my mind but expected I would blow mine up from over working it.
I want to quickly mention, peltier coolers are a meme technology. Yes they work, but at awful efficiency, often around 20%. This is why they need to run for half a day before the shots are cold. Traditional refrigerant systems have downsides too however. While they are much better at cooling, a small system could probably cool that drink in 1/4 the time, making them that small is costly, you couldn't run the machine immediately after moving it (you need a few hours for the bubbles in the refrigerant to settle out) and there would be some noise. Personally, I think anything pelteir cooled takes so long to cool it becomes impractical to use, and there are refrigerant based machines available that can hold three bottles and have a nice tap on the front. I would suggest you go for one of those, unless you drink alone/with one other person max. Otherwise, don't bother getting a peltier device, they're generally mediocre
If you want to keep your drinks cold, you gotta go with the best of the best. And if that means splurgin' a little extra cash on a refrigerant system, then so be it. Ain't nothin' wrong with investing in quality. Just make sure you got enough for the whole crew, 'cause you know the Doggfather always gotta keep his peeps hydrated
So if you connect the NReal Air glasses to this beast, does a visible alarm go off in your face to take a shot? Sorry, had a laugh when you used them as sunglasses
Propylene Glycol is in antifreeze it isn't antifreeze itself. It is one of the major components of it though. Propylene glycol is not toxic in of itself.
"Consuming ice cold shots....responsibly." Kyle, we all remember your pink hair don't you lie to us about you consuming things responsibly. We don't believe it one bit.
hahaaha linus face pre 2020. Lord Kyle, I almost got water all over my laptop. Really good video, loved the simple explanation of the science behind it. Edit: be careful what you ask for Kyle lol. I look forward to the next challenge they give you.
Correction: @3:02 you state propylene Glycol is commonly referred to as Anti Freeze.. Poly Propylene Glycol is the actual ingredient in Anti Freeze. Propylene Glycol is widely used in food products as well as medicinal purposes such as inhalers like steroids for your lungs when you have a bronchial infection. Other uses are Tooth Paste, Icing for cakes etc..
I was kind of thinking of something like this last night but having like interchangeable canisters that one would store in the freezer and be able to swap them out every so often that's where this video pops up now cuz I didn't type anything in like that
i bet it would have better effect if the tap was half and half influx, mind the temperature drops would be less but i would assume more effective over time, Slow Cool instead of a cooling BLAST per say.
I was hoping that Jagermeister tap had a heat pump in it. I mean, you can buy ice cream machines with one, so why not? Having a chiller for shots would be quite... *cool*
I don't see why the peltier cooling system, couldn't be in constant use. As it's built to run at all times, and is it's self a part of the cooling system. That way, you'd get constant cooling.
Respect to them though for doubling down on the stupidity that is a Jägermeister PC. Still though Kinda wanted to see at least one benchmark run with actual Jägermeister in it.
Love this build but I'm really let down you didn't fit the case back on the cooler. Why do 95% of the work and turn in an unfinished project, would have been a 10/10 otherwise
yeah but on the tap machine, you are able to overvolt and overlclock way more, like wayway more, that would probably boost is score by alot, same with the gpu, way more overclocking
I use an aquarium chiller on my 3080ti no rads or fans i can play most games on max settings 2k resolution sometimes i have to turn some settings down a bit butworks great reguardless

Yeah, was going to say that... with the tubes (and maybe a Dremel) at least the casing should be able to go back on
-18°C sounds freezing but Jagermeister freezes at -30°C
Jägermeister freezes at -22°C, I still mourn my last year's new years bottle which was at my balcony.

Peltier PC cooling was a thing back in the early 2000's. Neat to see it mentioned again.
I started thinking about those drink coolers they used to make that had a Peltier cooler on the side
They are still around but its expensive with all the extra concerns you have to deal with. They are fun to play around with!!
I am wondering about this too after thinking about those snap on phone coolers, maybe they can find a way to integrate this with today's tech or hardware.
@@stormgear896 EKWB actually offers a peltier CPU cooler for Intel chips. der8auer has a video about it, too.

You should hook up like 10 of them.
Activate them all by one. Once the last one has worn out you should be able to activate the first one again
The pc will be drunk from chugging all that Jäegermeister. Either way looks neat😎
This is badass! I would love to see the beauty covers back on the tap machine for a seamless look
Some additional DIYing could've seen the bottle retrofitted back on. Just pass the tubing through the bottle and mod the facia to fit.

I have been subbed forever but this is the first video recommended to me in my home page in a long time
Cool video. Looks like you put a lot of work into this. Thumbs up to you and Jägermeister.
Propulene Glycol is not antifreeze its a food grade carrier fluid used in tons of stuff, yes it is used in antifreeze but it itself is not.
Didn’t they have the PC sitting at one of their headquarters? Did they send it back to have this done I always loved this build the colors just work
what would make the Jägermeister build perfect would be a custom Jäger bottle reservoir and Jäger coloured cooling fluid :D
all responsibilities come to a dead stop the moment you've committed to putting the Jägermeister to your lips and some say even cracking open the bottle may have been a bad idea. and we love it so.

@Bitwit YOU ARE WRONG!!! Propylene Glycol is NOT antifreeze. ETHYLENE glycol is antifreeze.
I wonder if you just “undervolt” the tap instead of completely changing the the liquid to propylene glycol

A heat exchanger in the freezer and a 12V suction pump could provide more performance with less risk. Yes! And the pipes should have been insulated!
This video was awesome. Best in a while.
The "yay" got me 🤣
You should try an air to water radiator with a small refrigerator holding the water reservoir. To get some freezing temperatures…
i bet it would have better effect if the tap was half and half influx, mind the temperature drops would be less but i would assume more effective over time, Slow Cool instead of a cooling BLAST per say.
If it was scaled up and had a larger cold storage tank it might do better. But that would require a good bit of money to accomplish.

why didn't you run the soft tubing through the jaeger bottle and replace the housing?? Great vid and build none the less

Multiple, parallel Tap machines to 1 pc. Maybe 10?
What if you had more taps and daisy-chained them together?
