I lived in Whippany, New Jersey as a boy, and remember seeing a plaque at the seeing eye for Miss Francis when we toured the seeing eye with our school class.

She was a photogenic and good actress who should have had a longer career.

She was very tall for an actress and in many of her films the cinematographer had to come up with novel ideas such as camera angles to hide her height. She also wanted to be forgotten when she died. All her paper work and journals were bequeathed to a US university.
