I think you guys should be allowed to guess the other bourbons as well. 5 points to find the main. But 1 point if you guess any others. Also -1 point if you guess wrong on the 1 pointers.
The LOSER has to walk into a liquor store outside of your area and ask the person behind the counter for a bottle of Pappy's. When the person says they don't have it, Trenton or Kurt has to fake cry for a minimum of 2 minutes straight. 😆
Love the series setup, please keep them up! Also love Trenton putting up the bottle names so we can track them with your tasting notes as you work through them.
This is a fantastic series boys! Looking very forward to seeing how this plays out the rest of the year! Keep it up…it’s content like this that makes you guys the best on RUclips! Cheers! Hang in there Kurt….plenty of time to turn this around.
I love how you got the idea, and the shoutout to him. Made me feel good inside hearing the recognition. The rest of the video was wonderful, as always!
Love it! I especially liked how MM held up in a blind test. It doesn’t seem to get much love in other “snooty” bourbon videos. I’ve always liked it. Maybe I’m just not that sophisticated. 😊
This idea should be a lot of fun! I like Joey G’s suggestion of guessing all of the pours. And how about letting the overall winner pick a bottle from the loser’s collection, to add to their own!!
This is the prize I was going to suggest. Winner picks a bottle from the loser's collection. Or winner picks five bottles, and loser has to gift him one of the five.
Love your content. Never change the vibe. To me its over to neighbors bar and having a pour; simple; few jabs back and forth; fun! Plus; along the way we get great information for our bourbon journey!
I was that guy who asked for the list so we don’t find out at the end what’s everybody think….. it’s kinda a play on dramatic irony. The audience knows but they don’t. Thanks for reading my comment and changing the format so fast. But if you want it to go back to the old format it’s all good. I can’t believe you saw my comment thanks 🙏 love the father son duo
I love the concept and execution of this series you are starting!! I've been thinking more about the idea of the contest I suggested during your live show ..... Spring is just around the corner, and with that starts a new season of outdoor gatherings; hold a contest where your followers can submit the recipe for their own distinct and original whiskey punch bowl. you guys make and blind test the recipes over several shows. Winner gets a guest spot on your show to highlight their recipe and favorite whiskey. One entry per person.
This is going to be a great year watching these videos. This is the exact type of videos i prefer to watch. My favorite bourbon you-tubers. As for a punishment if Trenton loses he has to drink the worst scotch you can find on the live or episode…. kurt has to shave his head and or drink the worst choice that Trenton gets to pick
You guys always make bourbon fun. As a thought I’d suggest you each write down your choice (Buffalo Trace). The power of suggestion can be strong. For some other ideas…. Another idea is for the previous episode’s winner gets to pick whether they guess first or last. How about the winner gets to pick the next show’s challenge and need to announce it at the time of winning? Again, kudos to all your work!
If Trent loses he has to do a blind flight tasting of scotch. To pick his favorite. Kurt….. wow, Kurt needs a tattoo to match Trent! Have you guys tried anything from Journeyman distillery from 3 oaks Michigan? I really enjoy their Last Feather Rye.
Last Feather rye is my favorite in the Journeyman lineup. We do get to their facility once in a while. They are building a new facility in our town as well, Valparaiso.
That was fun to watch, and neither of you should feel bad. From many years of winetasting I can tell you that blind tasting can be very humbling, but it is always fun and often educational.
Half a bottle into the ECBP and it has opened up beautifully. I found the tannic notes I had early have rounded out into more wood sugar, sweet oak, with the caramel note more present. Really good bottle.
Fun video guys and looking forward to more like it! Would also love to see a series where you try to highlight different palate profiles. Bottles that all are bright or dark fruit forward, lack fruit entirely, nutty, or oak/vanilla is the star, etc. I’m sure it could be tough since palates can vary, but may help people that are getting a sense of their preferences know what else to look for.
Buffalo Trace was definitely the bourbon that really got me into the whole world of bourbon. I remember the first bottle I bought for $17 taught me that you can get a really great flavor for such a low price. Good on Trenton for picking it out so well. 👍 You guys should try and review a bottle of Burning Chair cask strength, which is my current favorite. It's finished in a few different types of wine barrels or a mix depending on the store pick but I think it's an MGP base to start. A bit pricy but definitely worth it.
Love the authentic reactions, and it is plain to see how much fun you guys are having with this one! Really enjoyed this and am looking forward to the rest of the series. Loser should have to eat food they don’t like.
Another great show! I am a Buffalo Trace fan. When you both said that you would prefer 1792 over Buffalo, I bought a 1792 and compared it to Buffalo. It is very good, smoother! Thank you!
Love this channel. I am now recommending it to all my friends.......my suggestion for the loser would be that have to cook a steak dinner for the winner and 4 of his friends.
Definitely deserve bonus points for guessing the others correctly too. I like this idea, it will be fun following along. Looking forward to it guys! GOOD LUCK!
This video... entertaining... nicely done... because of your videos, I tried 1792 for the first time...I loved it...have yet to try buffalo trace...to be honest, I only have Woodford Reserve, 1792, and Jamison Whiskey ...and I watch your videos with enthusiasm...hello from New Jersey btw
Enjoyed this match up. A few years ago I might have said MM is close to BT but not now. I use MM for a mixer for people who don’t drink.😄 Trent, thanks for putting up your choices. The winner get his choice of any bourbon he has ever wanted- no price limit.
I agree with Joey's recommendation about the option to go for bonus points for getting other samples right, but negative points for those you get wrong... Could prove interesting near the end of the year when someone has to risk it a little to make up ground. You'd also have to maybe bring in a pen/paper to do this so one competitor won't be swayed by the other just to keep pace on points tho. Love the concept!
You guys have to continue to tag team this channel content. It is really entertaining with both of you. Thanks again. I truly enjoy the channel and content. Blessings.
I like this idea a lot.. nice video! I would suggest not trying to guess what each one is unless you know what all 5 are to start.. I think that will lead to a lot of confusion ranking them and picking them and by the end we are all confused! Start simple and see how well it goes..ie how successful you are guessing the one.. I think that it's a difficult enough task even for proven veterans like yourselves.. but can't wait to see how it plays out!!😃. Trenton 1. Kurt 0.
It sounds easy on paper but it's not as easy as people like to believe! It gets very hard around the 100 bottle mark to pick something out ( unless it's a super unique pour, of course ). Can't even imagine trying this at the bottle count you guys are at. It's impressive that Trent got it but it'd be pretty funny to see you guys run through a lineup chosen by an avid taster where they pit a flight that consists of extremely similar pours. I have a few in my collection that are so similar yet different enough that It would take an absurdly high level of concentration from me to figure it out. Maybe not an idea to start with but an idea to have down the road... find an avid/professional taster and make them choose a lineup that is so similar in profile that it'd be insane to pick apart.
This was fun to watch. I'm doing something similar. I have tried various bourbons for years. Now I'm learning to identify the differences between bourbon, rye, scotch, and Irish whiskeys. I am using a well-known brand of each. You might try this on a future show. You two are way more advanced. I bet you can pick them out easily.
Loved how purely giddy Trenton got during this challenge once he realized someone picked correctly and even more so when he found out it was him
No humility that kid lol
I think you guys should be allowed to guess the other bourbons as well. 5 points to find the main. But 1 point if you guess any others. Also -1 point if you guess wrong on the 1 pointers.
I was about to suggest the same thing! Maybe without the penalty for guessing wrong (would rather see the guesses!)
@@davidyoder493 I think the wrong guesses will make it a lot funnier
I would hate to finish in the negative 😂
@@slbdrinks the scores could end up being hilarious 🤣

I love the pure honesty of their shows and the natural reactions.
This is the best bourbon channel on RUclips.
That was a great show. So much fun watching you guys banter bak and forth.
Love the series setup, please keep them up! Also love Trenton putting up the bottle names so we can track them with your tasting notes as you work through them.

Best thing about these videos is that I find myself smiling along with you, thanks for that! Good job Trenton, and better practice up Kurt lol..
I love how you got the idea, and the shoutout to him. Made me feel good inside hearing the recognition. The rest of the video was wonderful, as always!
Love the new idea. You guys have literally become part of my weekly routine. So much fun! And I've learned a lot. Thanks so much.
I'm cracking up he actually did changed it to Kurt vs Trent lol! I love this channel definitely my number 1
He did lol
Love it! I especially liked how MM held up in a blind test. It doesn’t seem to get much love in other “snooty” bourbon videos. I’ve always liked it. Maybe I’m just not that sophisticated. 😊
This was a lot of fun. Look forward to this series throughout the year. Keep it going.

Definitely enjoyed this and would very much like to see more of these Kurt Vs. Trenton challenges in the future.
First time i've ever subscribed to any channel. Discovered you guys a month ago. Absolutely loved this show, keep it up guys. Cheers!
Thank you and welcome!
I think doing a favorite low, medium, and high proof whiskey list would be a good idea!
This was Great! Thank you both!
You guys have some great ideas! Looking forward to more of Kurt vs Trenton!

Buffalo Trace stood out for me (via a single barrel find) with high viscosity. Nice thick stuff.

100,000 subs 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 I been around when you had 35,000. That is awesome keep up the good. Stay blessed.
Thank you Lamont!
❤️ this format. Thank you for the great content.
Love it! Looking forward to this series
Says Trent, “ it’s almost like a bourbon chess match”…….CLASSIC😂😂😂😂
Fun to watch. Thanks
Ultimate winners prize could be two bottle pick from the others collection.
I like the mix of reviews and competition, make it even more entertaining

Trenton vs. Kurt makes sense as the home team is always listed last.😊
Trenton def made himself taller in the thumbnail 😂
Having fun drinking bourbon. That’s what it’s all about. Great vid guys! Cheers!!!
This is fun, even funnier that we know what it all is before you, adds some suspense.

This was a great video. Keep the competition going.
Trent's just showing off! Congrats! Great fun concept.
Y’all are great! I appreciate what y’all do. My favorite thing on “tv” right now. Loser should do the one chip challenge!
Keep this vs show going. 💯👌
I like it. Picking blind is very difficult. We have not done well in blinds ourselves. Hats off to Trenton on picking it out.
I’ve been watching a bunch of y’all’s videos today. Great content
Loved this content. What a fun way to get in some blind tastings without doing the same old thing.
Love this as a video series

Best channel period. Wish I was still up north to come have a drink.
Thank you!
Great game, this will be a fun series! 👍
Great idea for a show,,,
Very entertaining!
1792 is one of my favorite sub 30 pours. That stuff is legit!
Kurt v Trenton Evan Williams bottled in bond. You're welcome, and thanks for all the excellent content guys.
Nice format ... enjoyed it!
Great episode! thanks team!
Loved it !! Keep 'em coming
Great video! Looking forward to more of these. Really enjoy watching you two. Picked up a bottle of Sazerac and a bottle of rare breed tonight. Cheers
I really enjoyed this video. I would love to see a Tennessee whisky version of this competition!
Awesome series! Excited to keep track through the year
Fun twist on a regular blind. Keep this series going!
That was fun, please continue. I like knowing ahead of time what's what.

The best part about this is it let's us know even the pros are fallible when it comes to blinds!💯
No pros here that’s for sure.

This was great! Had a good time sippin’ with ya
I liked this. Keep it going at least once a week. Good job Trenton!
This was fun to watch! Congrats Trenton.
This was great! Really enjoyed watching! Do another one soon!🥃👍🏻
Lotta fun, looking forward to the next one of these blinds!
Great job fellas!
4 Great bottles to blind together! 1792sb is the ultimate sleeper
Love this channel! Keep it up men
Great episode and way to go Trenton
That was fun and you made it fun. Keep up the fun
Great fun episode - loving your content!
You guys should call the series “Bull Blinds” 🥃 cheers boys!
Enjoyable as always!!!!!
Smoked by the end. What a gig
Haha loved this one, let's see some more!

We keep all four of these. Go-to pours for us. My fave is Buffalo Trace, then 1792, 1783, Maker's Mark.
Killer series!
