  • Obviously, nothing is meant to replace playing the game and the importance of experience!
    -
And for some very FEW players, they move and understand their bodies so well, that they literally can use the accountability of the game to literally train.
    -
But we also discussed the difficulties with that and why it’s a tough route to take for the majority of players. And it all comes down to one word.
    -
    Accountability.
    -
Watch how some players (and trainers) freestyle for instance, and you’ll quickly see that they don’t have a feel for basketball. Dribbling around in open space and they go all over the place OR i even worse, in straight lines like a defender doesn’t exist! Without spacial accountability, none of their movements become real.
    -
And not everyone can simply play everyday. So if you can’t find ways to hold yourself accountable in your alone time….that’s not a recipe for success.
    -
In the end, cones make bad defenders, but they can make exceptional accountability partners!!
