I've nothing to add Robert. You are correct in all you say on this issue. The SSPX is not perfect, but there is none of this carry on and no talking in an SSPX Church. Thank You, Archbishop Lefebvre!
Yep, SSPX, ICKSP and FSSP you only get 100 percent reverent prayer and full 100 percent heart moving, eye watering mass all to give honor and glory to God
On this occasion Robert I totally agree with you, this stuff is just awful, the church buildings are for worship and prayer and contemplation, shame on those who allowed this, what are they thinking of 😩
100 % Robert, disgraceful to say the least ! A place for prayer, worship & reverence...their doing the same at St Mary's cathedral Kilkenny this month with a concert/Disney production fiasco...shocking & an absolute desecration....letting these heathens just walk all over us ..but I suppose its been prophesied too & our churches /faith will be stripped down but than raised up anew as Our Lord will have the final say
I prayed the Most Holy Rosary yesterday there at St. Patrick's and prayed for the faithful and clergy to recognise their errors and try to repair the damage done. There was nobody else in the Church, a lovely, grand, big Church (former Cathedral of the city). I sent an email to St. Patrick's Church on the 30th of March about this issue but I believe the talk around the parish is that there is an infestation of woke priests at St. Patrick's hence the lack of response from them. I would like to think they are not these happy clappy types but given the evidence what conclusion can one draw. Yesterday I meditated on the Joyful Mysteries yet the Church seemed sad like you could almost taste it. One of the comments talks about mosques, it would be tragic if the most beautiful structure on Donegall Street that preserves the hand of St. Patrick should be turned into a mosque in the future but that is the direction this Church and parish is headed.
It seems that they’re now shutting down/blocking anyone who tries to hold them to account on Facebook. Unfortunately, I’m sure they’re sitting at home thinking that the concerned and faithful laity are the real problem.
Well said. It's a good film. But its not the time or place. The church hall, maybe, so everyone can get together and have a laugh, but not in the church it's self.
@@rickruggiero2403 We shouldn't be watching be watching any movie in the main church. Not even the 'Passion of The Christ'. For the main church is meant for the sacrifice of the Mass and the sacrifice of the Mass only.
I used to teach English here in the US and had my juniors read Shelley’s Frankenstein. One time I made the mistake of following up on the novel with this movie…one time…
The Festival of Fools is taking place this week in Belfast. Coincidence? I have attended some beautiful schola recitals in this church, but I’m disappointed that it was used to screen a movie such as this.
I thought I had put my comments down before but it disappeared, what I wrote was I thought Northern Irish Catholic faith was Strong,I can't Believe this has happened in a Catholic church in the Presence of Jesus in the Tabernacle ♥️but the Our Lady says from Medjugorje satan is Very Strong,This Parish needs the Rosary prayed for it🙏
huh, that's odd. I swear there was another video released after this one. It featured a nice, well-meaning parish priest speaking sense about what we can use church buildings for, you wouldn't know what happened to that video, would you? I think Ireland is in for a good chance this Eurovision, so congrats for selecting such a strong performer as your entrant.
That is totally inappropriate in a Catholic Church. I just saw that in Bogata, Columbia a woman received Communion, and when she returned to her seat, broke a piece off and gave it to her dog. Then there is scandalous artwork displayed in some churches. It goes on and on. I really don’t want to hear about any of that anymore. At a contemporary parish I attend sometimes, they just put up an absolutely beautifully statue of St. Joseph in honor of his feast day. Even more beautiful was how it was displayed. They made a little hill near the chapel entrance, and he is in between 2 little trees, with colorful flowers around. It was designed by a high school student as part of a project she worked on. Another parishioner in the parish donated the money for it. He had passed away. Another parishioner there donated a beautiful statue of the Blessed Mother, and a fountain. He also donated beautiful Stations of the Cross for the chapel. Another donated bells, not real ones, but ones that you hear recorded, that start at different times. Another parishioner donated holy water fonts. The list of those wonderful things go on and on as well. I just don’t want to devote time to the awful things while all the good things are going on. These good things encourage and motivate but the bad things discourage and anger. I don’t want that.
A priest local to my parish used the church for meetings when next door was a church hall. I don't think it's reverent in front of the tabernacle to hold meetings...I'm not in Eire by the way
Using Church's sacred space for concerts is an insult to God and turns God's house into theatres undermining the sacredness of the space built, designed, and used for worshipping God and for no other purpose. There is definitely a crisis of Faith in Ireland and it is rife among the bishops and clergy as well as the laity. Probably the laity have more Faith than many of those whoa re ordained. Archbishop Fulton sheen said once that the renewal of the Church will come from the faithful laity calling bishops to be bishops and priests to be priest whose job it is to nourish the people in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Nothing against Mel Brooks, but is that the right venue for the film? Young Frankenstein is a great comedy, and honestly we need more movies like it and Blazing Saddles, but showing it in a church seems in bad taste.
Tell those priests that allow this in Churches to use the Parish Hall, if they feel compelled to engage in fundraising. Perhaps the local sports club hall or a community hall. But most definitely not in God's Churches.
So sad. I put a brilliant 👏 👌 on that video. What did you say wrong?? Is the truth wrong now!!what world do we live in. The world of silence UNLESS IT IS THEIR TRUTH. HA HA SAD I thought it was going to be a paddy extra!!
Got to admit that St. Bugnini’s got a certain je ne sais quoi was I imagine many who frequent your channel would have got the reference but would the average Catholic, though?
Someone who was at this screening (apparently also an atheist) claimed that in the early days of film, before cinemas, they would use church buildings as venues, just like they did here. Anyone knows if this is correct?
Any Catholic should be very careful about letting that kind of music in their home. She will probably win as that’s Satanic and it will draw so many young people into his claws so we need to pray pray pray for our young.
Young Frankenstein is a comedy about a man playing god and creating a monster, it’s a good film but not appropriate for the house of God it insinuates that God created monsters for his amusement.
@@thecatholicman But at least they get the seriousness of it all and the reverence correct. Vatican 2 has become a less drug fuelled trip than the Anglican Church but not far off the pace if you are being honest. Every SSPX Mass I’ve been to was reverential in every way. The TLM seems to be proof against many types of abuse, when properly undertaken.
I was at a Mass on Monday at the sspx abd it's so reverent .
Thank God for Archbishop Lefebvre.

I'm going to pay a visit to the local mosque to ask the imam if he'd be willing to host an evening of popcorn, soda, and Blazing Saddles.
Or El Cid...
Or Robin Hood: Men in Tights 😂
Thank you for driving awareness around this. We can only pray 🙏

I agree ,what a missed opportunity to celebrate catholic films. So many that could have moved the hearts of many.
As a past attendee having moved to south Belfast 28 yes ago I find this disgusting!!!!
These priests are faithless! This is outrageous!
And would an SSPX chapel ever be used for such secular purposes?
Not the Chapel the church hall maybe.

It's Anthony Stine that was needed. What are they thinking.Auto-demolition in progress, with a nefarious purpose.

I agree completely. Young Frankenstein is one of my favorite movies. It's good and funny. But it is not appropriate for a Cathedral.

Went watched a few scenes from the movie. It's still fun.
Thanks.
And no you don't show movies in a church.
All I hear when I think "eurovision" is "my lovely horse"
What's next? The annual general meeting of the Orange Order? If they pay enough? Baffling when you consider the history.

had it been in Latin it wouldn't be acceptable .... funny old world...but not amusing ..... which Bishop/Cardinal allowed this ?
2 Latin Mass churches 15 mins away
SSPX in Andersonstown and ICKSP on Antrim Road
I'm finding it harder to disagree with the Sedevacantists that the Vatican 2 Church is a completely different sect
