@@declassified1well it’s one thing to “steal” but it’s another thing when you turn that mediocre song into a badass rock classic, page is a genius in his own right
@InsignificantSpeckOfDust Think the story is they hired a sitar player for the session but weren't happy with the results. So Beck said I can do something there. And maybe he tried with effects to emulate a sitar sound or maybe not, but either way the part and the sound he came up with just fit.
And for his reasons EXPLAINED here, he illustrates what made / makes him stand out from other guitar players... The guy is a workaholic ~ He loves ❤️ the🎸 guitar and he loves ❤ the knobs 🎛️ in the recording studio as well. A true creature of creative genius who has delved into ALL aspects of the music business ✅✅✅
Dude, I thought that you were referring to the period when Page and his newly assembled group consisting of Page, Plant, Jones & Bonham, were fulfilling a contractural European tour obligation for the Yardbirds. When Yardbirds bassist Chris Dreja sued Page & Co. insisting that they no longer use the Yardbirds name while on tour. So, for the rest of the tour Page & Co. toured under the name "The Knobs". I thought I finally found someone else who knew of this fact. But, now you and whomever reads this now knows. I always wondered if Page thought of the name because 'The Doors' was already taken. Who knows, right? 🦍💨
Clapton takes the lead on being a drunken buffoon,he once slurred into a mic in London that it should remain a white country,he was a heroine addict,Jeff Beck was the best of them but he didn’t care to be a rock star he was driven to take the guitar to places it hadn’t been used for,he was a weird guy but the best guitarist of the three. Jimmy Page was the most successful of the three
Love you so much, Jimmy! Thank you for your gift you have shared with the world all of these years. So happy youre hearty and hale (or is it hail?) Anyway. Love and blessings from North California. ❤
After producing all the Zeppelin albums, I'm surprised he didn't become a producer of other artists post-Zeppelin. One would think he'd be in high demand.
The Great One took the Skeleton Pieces leftovers and created the Greatest Debut Album in the History of Music. G guided Page in this Process in the summer of 68! ZoSo
Guitar players give Page crap about his sloppy live solos but I always challenge them to play his solos better while being on the same amount drugs and booze.
All round musical genius
All around musical thief . Beck is the Man

Caught lightning in a bottle and ran with it, phenomenal the best
Yardbirds were really great and evolving so quickly.
Gotta love Pagey. Led Zeppelin was the soundtrack of my high school years. Loved them then and still do.
I still have all the Yardbirds records, and, they still sound ahead of their time
I wish I could watch the rest of this interview.
The Visionary. True legend
All bow to the master!
Awesome Jimmy Page 💯🔝🎸💕
My favorite guitarist 🎸 of all time (heart full of soul).
Jeff Beck played that part on the recording...Jimmy joined later...he never did that version at all.
Jeff Beck RIP 🎉 ❤

@ I wasn't aware that they tried a sitar player...that makes sense.
@@richardhincemon yeah Beck was the real king of that super trio. miles ahead Clapton and Page combined

Great memories thankyou Jimmy❤❤❤
Clapton, Beck and then Page...staggering.

Great Musician!

He was great
Could listen to him talk for days about coming up & Zep
I really didn't understand a word he was saying. And I like J.P. JUST watched Yardbirds dazed and confused today. Almost Zeppelin.
He’s not dismissing the Yardbirds.
He had a very interesting early start to his career.

What a god.
Producer 😊
Think about it: Eric Clapton, then Jeff Beck, then Jimmy Page. All passed through the Yardbirds. Jesus H Christ!😮
Where is the full interview?!
Do we have a record of what he produced?
Imahugeledhead😊😊😊
thank god he ran into joe walsh
❤JP❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ah ok so I thought I read somewhere that Clapton asked page and page said no but recommended Beck and to return the favor Beck got him in later
Yardbirds wanted to be more like the Beatles then innovated and unique like Led Zeppelin wanted and was ok with
Man, how do you remember Any of this shit? That shit was like 80 years ago. 😮😮😮
80 years ago? What the hell 😒
Jimmy has a good memory.
Was going to cite a Yardbirds song, but it's so long ago, I forgot the title went " Happenings ten years ago"
Sure but The Yardbirds vent in to The New Yardbirds and the rest is history and thats's the reason we know who he are!
What a weird tittle for your vid
He didn’t play on any sessions of famous people. No hit sessions
Hilarious bad autocaptioning. "George Ogamelski" 🤣🤣 🤣🖕🖕🖕
Wizard
Id like to know how many Beatles albums he played on 😊. More than we'll ever know
He did the lead guitar for Joe Cockers “try a little help”
None...Eric Clapton is the only other person, outside of the band, to play guitar on a Beatles track. Their sessions are extremely well documented.
He played lead on a song from Hard Days Night.
Hello Zjimy , Do you still live in Holland Park . I met our good friend there . Gabriel I believe his naa a me . Foolish me 🤪🤤💜😧🤗
The Best ....much better than EVH
Like Hendrix before him EVH was an innovator, everybody wanted to play like Van Halen
Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton are my two favorite guitarists. Both inspiring and humble while being great at what they do
Cool
He ruined the Yardbirds

Older than who?
Session musicians
Nothing like Beck. Not even close.
Run along...
@@RockChick63174Beck was a way better player than “sloppy fingers” Page, and the best of the Yardbirds was clearly the Jeff Beck era.
