I know he’s gotten a bad rap lately, but I still love his music. He’s coming to my town I guess for Rock fest at the international speedway in Daytona, fl. I want to see him, but really only him. Tickets are only 120 general admission. I already know it’s gonna be crazy due to general admission, and I probably won’t really get to enjoy the actual music.

I've never felt like Radiohead is doom and gloom. People always remark on how sad their music is, but I find their music incredibly uplifting and comforting. Also yes! I love sad songs. It's like "Love Hurts" from Incubus. The line "...but sometimes it's a good hurt, and I feel like I'm alive" really hits me. Because sad music makes me really feel. Sometimes you need that. Sometimes you need to feel the pain, you need to feel the sadness, let it sink in. It let's you know you're human. You're real. You're alive. And through pain and sadness there's a sort of release as well. It helps you see that you're not alone. That others have felt the pain you feel, they understand that pain and sadness intimately. I actually wish there were more sad movies, sad paintings, sad music, sad art, that speaks to everyone who has ever suffered. Life is sometimes hard, it's painful. And we need to be reminded that we're not alone in this thing. Some of the most beautiful art is sad, and I love it for that.
