Tamales from the Mississippi Delta. They aren't traditional Mexican Tamales but I like them. In fact, why not tamales from Central and South America too. Each region is different like everyone's old ladies tamales are different.

I'm Mexican and I stopped watching right at the start because the Trader Joe's tamales are not even that bad. The harsh, dramatic critics ruin these types of videos for me. I'm here for reviews, not reactions.
Always the young ones trying to prove how authentic they think things should be in relation to his heritage while everyone else is giving an honest unbiased response. You’re not under attack bro, don’t be that queen
Growing up we used to eat the tamales in a can. I would compare it to eating chef boyardee raviolis…..something you keep in the kitchen cabinet for ages until that rainy day.
Canned tamales was something we kept in the cupboard. My mom would mix it with canned chili and we would put it in a warm flour tortillas with cheese and onions and it would be a quick meal on the go. I still eat it every once in a great while.
I have to be honest those hormel tamales are my dirty little secret. Hear me out, they're terrible tamales. But for canned meals they're pretty good. Mostly the sauce. Hormel tamales with some leftover rice used to be one of my go-to meals
@wax6506 to each there own I wasn't the one spitting everything out the second it touched my tongue making noises like a toddler who doesn't want to eat his vegetables.
Most store-bought tamales suck, but I will admit Trader Joe’s has some authentic pork tamales made in Mexico that I really like I steam them and and add my own homemade salsa verde -that makes a huge difference.
Hola Papahs...I felt so bad for all the dads that tried all those "tamales" 😢...Happy Holidays to the entire crew and papahs, subs and viewers...have a healthy and prosperous New Year to all ❤😊
Were they reheated in a microwave or steamed on the stove. That makes a HUGE difference. That said, I just finished a 15-pack of Del Rio from Costco. Steam heated on the stove.
Can we do an episode of Mexican dads Try New Mexican food (Hatch Green Chile and Red Chile NM favorites) like real straight from Albuquerque well known restaurants
Tell first dude to stop being dramatic it’s not a character people like, not really fit for a show since he’s trying too hard to be a character. Checkered shirt guy for the win.
My friends mom made them all the time. Hardly anything in them .so I told him to try them with salsa and melted Velveeta cheese. After that they were freaking awesome.
Trying store bought Tamales and not getting yourself some HEB Mi tienda Tamales. We need to have the CA Papah guys come on down here to South Texas lol
@Enth3nd The whole CA vs TX Mexican thing has always bothered me watching some of their videos. I mean "fast food tacos" without Taco Palenque? I mean granted you have to go at like 2am but still lol
Those Trader Joe’s tamales 🫔 definitely weren’t prepared properly… you’re supposed to wrap them in a wet/damp paper towel and microwave for 2min on each side… that way they’re not dried out… rookies 😒
they are good for store bought. but imo, i feel like there's a something off with them. might just be me, but i feel no taste from them. im just more used to made from scratch tamales.
Dude in the black shirt gets on my nerves..it's maybe because his a fake hipster with a smart watch who swears his really Mexican..on a job site all these are good . I used to work with this amazing woman and she would sell tamales and they are the best I've ever had. No they could be the worst ones of anyone in Mexico but she was a real abuelita and I love them
What should the papás rank next? 👀

indonesian satay .
I was about to say the same thing, I’m from Mississippi. They’re smaller and boiled instead of steamed.
Canned Chili
Store bought menudo..enchiladas ..tacos
The gentleman in the green checkered shirt is so positive and nice 🌞
Yes he seems the most hobest and descriptive

the hornel canned tamales made dude speak english haha😅😅
😂
He was so traumatized, he forgot he knew Spanish
So traumatized that he even lost his accent. 😂

You got Super Ego?!! Lets goooo!!! 😂😂
Thats him!!?? No way!
That first dude looks like the youngest one and is a total drama queen lol id just listen to the two older guys
He is used to good food. He probably cooks. Everyone cooks in our home including the men making tortillias etc....
You should have them try the tamales from the mamas (lulu, Lucy y Martha )
stay tuned! 👀
That’s a great idea!!

I am so glad i live in texas with HEB because their brand of tamales are pretty on point
I agree.Had some good homemade ones from my sister in law.
Shii, I'm glad my grandma makes them 😂
Same bro
I love the Hormel canned tamales. Never dry and always great.

I've had canned tamales before when I was broke. Mixed with top ramen noodles. You got to do what you got to do something.
Super Ego???!!! I grew up with his Cholo Adventures series. 😎
Neta bro it’s crazy they got him on a dads try 😭
Young dude is a DRAMA QUEEN for real
IKR? Couldn't stand him and his whiny views, at least the newer dude in the hat is more accepting and real
Yeah dude is a wack millennial hispanic
When I was a kid I used to really love the tamales in a can I always thought they were pretty good
I wouldn't ever eat a can of tamales ever again, thats why I learned how to make them myself.
Store bought tamales are ok, but I'd rather have tamales made by someone's abuela.
It depends ….. I had a tamale from a co worker that tasted like very dry cornbread with nothing in it. That was the worst tamale I ever had.
It would have been a more accurate reaction if you didn't tell them until AFTER they ate them, that they are all store bought.
Super ego 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Now we need sleepy brown 🔥🔥🔥
SUPEREEEGO!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
my man superegooooooooo
We like those canned tamales with cheese on it, 😅
That foo in the black shirt es bien especial, I bet his mom still washes his chonies!

I agree with your teenager comment because he was very comical with his reviews. But this comment is more whiny than he was.

I bet money that if Goya and Trader Joes were steamed, they would have had a far better texture
Goya corn tamales goes well with eggs, beans, cheese and crema with a coffee 🤌

Yes! I buy those, they are much better!

That canned shit is brutal man. I would only eat that if on the brink of starving to death
New age Mexican dad was a diva
Children are spoiled and dramatic, this is proof. You know that kid couldn't do better
Can we just keep the original papahs?!!!

Heat up a can of the Hormel tamales..toss in a slice of cheese..cover..have it with taquitos cooked in the air fryer.. Its good!
Hilarious, and I totally get the legit reactions. If you are in the military and have to eat an MRE, you might like them more.

Just kidding , hopefully in the next few days I will receive some of the best tamales in so cal .

Costco Tamales’s I think are the best store bought tamales
I agree with you. Specifically the padrinos ones
My friends mom made them all the time. Hardly anything in them
.so I told him to try them with salsa and melted Velveeta cheese.
After that they were freaking awesome.
Stater bros got some decent tamales
Can’t beat homemade traditional food😊
The younger guys are drama queens. 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie De Real products are good for being store bought.
I’ve only ever had tamales from a screaming lady walking around the neighborhood.
How could you not have XLNT beef tamales. 130 years and in store.
DAMN that takes me back. The smell. The color. The texture. Those were the OG
The best store bought tamales have to be from Costco in my opinion, but of course still store-bought lol
Love your content! Thanks For this ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! 😁
the rating "ta mal" made me laugh XD
Best way to cook canned tamales? Crisp them up in the oven
Oh It would be great if papahs try tamales from every latino country too!
Yall need to get HEB central market tamales in Texas. Chicken cream cheese verde
Glad to see Donato is back!!! 🎉
Tamales with wieners/hotdogs are called corn dogs.
The canned is all I knew until I became an adult!
I prefer my tamales toasty on the comal with over easy eggs and a huge cup of coffee.
I love that Erik is on here❤ ego get sleepy brown on here too

No tamales will beat the tamales that the little old lady makes at the corner store. My favorite is the Spicy pork

They are in no way as good as homemade, but when you dont live around any decent Mexican restaurants the canned ones will do in a pinch.
the hormel tamales were always the last can in cupboard ...for those moments when youre hungry but dont want to go to the store
