    Loved the travel video blogg format with the images coming and going too. looked like such freedom riding the bike theer Hashem in that beautiful setting. Could really see myself enjoying that :)
    Always considered going there as i love traveling in Asia and the scenery. never been there though so a great recommendation :) I know its much more touristy than in past, but still looks to be in better "shape" than Thailand for example.Also it looks as if the people still dont really care about being photographed either which of course is a big bonus!
    Cheers!
    /Martin.

    Great shots! I like the one of the lady with a bundle of sticks over her shoulder. Love the Vision 2 250D. In my opinion it's even nicer than Vision 3. Not just saying that because I sell it lol. But seriously, the colours are more true to life whereas I sometimes find Vision 3 250D a bit warm. Great video. I thought the choice of music was really fitting also.

    Hey, sadly the last Vietnam vlog. Always interesting to see the new perspective to the familiar stomping grounds. I love how all of your shots remind me of all the shots I snapped on my first trip there too. Definitely a lot more local experiences to discover still, so please let me know if you ever return again, and I'll help you organise some more unique activities 😊 It's harder in the north, as many of the locals don't speak Vietnamese as well as English, so having a local guide can be the only way to experience some parts of the area and culture fully. Keen for the next travel vid. I always feel energised by watching them, and a lot of nostalgia as I don't get to do it as often these days too.

    Wonderful video, Hashem! Love the portions on your bike, riding on those breathtaking narrow mountainside roads! You and Sarah are very brave adventurers! The Kentmere 100 shots look great! Nice job with that film. Also nice job with the motion picture film! How was it communicating with the people there on your various stops? Do they speak English? Was curious about that. Look forward to the next video. Thanks for creating this travelogue! 👍🏻👍🏻

      Thanks Anthony! In the tourist-driven areas or businesses they do tend to speak English, otherwise not so much.

    How did you manage riding in what I'm assuming are at least some bumpy roads with a rangefinder without knocking it out of alignment? Im bicying the camino Portugueses in September and sections of it will be cobblestones and i was hoping to bring my moskva 4 which is a 6x9 folding rangefinder ( copy of a zeiss super ikonta) but I'm worried about ruining it

    • @pushingfilm
      @pushingfilm  5 месяцев назад

      I've never worried much about that... and am under the impression that it takes a really hard knock (like a drop) to cause it. But, I guess it's always a possibility.

    Excellent. I spent about a month in Ta Van and SaPa last year. I wish the tourist visa had lasted longer. Was an absolute joy to zip through the valley and up the mountainsides everyday, taking pictures of some of the most beautiful vistas you'll ever see.

    Did you shoot the kentmere @ box speed or pushed? I can never get that kind of contrast at box speed

    • @pushingfilm
      @pushingfilm  4 месяца назад

      Box speed. I find that self developing and digitising with NLP gives me a lot more control over contrast than lab scans.

    A very interesting video. Thank you. Of all the countries in the world, Vietnam is the one that just isn't suited to B&W film. Your video makes that very clear.
