To anyone who is trying to grow on RUclips like I am, please don’t think she started RUclips two weeks ago and out of a sudden gained thousands of subs. She started 2 years ago and she has a lot of content on RUclips. That’s why the algorithm picked her channel and started recommending her video.

@nicoleellie Thanks for sharing! I am 43 and for 5 years I've wanted to start a channel and I finally did about 3 months ago. I'm so glad I got over my HUGE fear of being on camera and what ppl will think of me! I'm no expert, but I knew I'd learn as I go and I love it! ❤
We gained 86k subscribers over the summer, but majority came from SHORTS. So our long form content views are low and our shorts views are high. We are still blessed to see 176k. Congrats on your success

I definitely have received more views & subscribers from RUclips SHORTS. It’s definitely a work in progress. I started this channel a month or so ago & I now have more subscribers than I thought I would. Hopefully I can see 100 subscribers soon. 🔥🫶🏽
Is that really more the purpose of shorts? To pique someone's interest to get them to your channel (and hopefully subscribe)? It doesnt sound like there's much monetary benefit from shorts.

I literally made a RUclips for the same reason! I think having a youtube or just creating content is kind of like a digital bio/diary. It’s also a great way to keep track of your personal development. So excited for this journey and happy that I came across this video 🫶

19:46 For me, the reason your video resonates with people is because it’s so antithetical to the typical advice you get about why someone should start a RUclips channel. Most of the videos on this topic tend to focus on the material benefits of being a creator (like creating a passive income stream *cringe*). You focused though on there being value in the creative process, which was refreshing to hear.
I believe that most people who want to do RUclips and don’t succeed fail because they don’t have anything intrinsically motivating them to create. When you set goals that are within your control, like you have, you set yourself up to stick with this platform over the long run. In doing so, you’ll outlast everyone else who’s trying to grow fast, but not sustainably.
I’ve recently started to just follow you & you truly are an inspiration. I am proud of your growth & I aspire to one day have a RUclips channel that I can share with an audience that can be of value to them as well. You are doing wonderfully & please continue doing the work that you are destined to be molded in💗 much love PEACE
I've seen a thousand videos with similar titles but you really come across better than most! I appreciate your honesty, your sincerity, and your editing style! I wish RUclips would push more smaller channels like yours rather than the flavor of the month channels that are all prodcution but no substance channels.

I love the advice on niches! I just posted my first video on Friday and I am so glad that it is more advised now to make videos for a target audience not necessarily a category!

I found you through your viral video too and I LOVE what you do. ❤ I love how calm you are and how much you share. This is love. This is community. This is so, so wonderful! I also always have to remind myself, when I look at those stupid numbers, that I make videos mostly for myself, my creativity and for fun. It's a wonderful bonus if someone likes what I'm doing, but I'm not doing this for money. This is an important point to learn when starting with RUclips. Earning money from this will probably take years... and if you don't have fun with what you're doing, you won't do this for years ❤

I started my channel initially in 2020 during the pandemic, and I fell off. I hope I can get back into creating as I truly did enjoy being creative and having fun with all the trials and errors. This video was helpful!

I just made 100 subscribers after giving up on my first channel back in January. I am always grateful for videos like this because everyone has a unique perspective. I just started taking the editing process more seriously and a shot list has made editing so much easier. The part about the niche is correct. I originally started my channel doing storytimes and when I felt like I couldn’t keep up with that anymore because I am changing and growing, I switched up. Now my channel is stagnant and no one’s watching my vlogs. I had to get to the point where I can’t care about what others think anymore because the goal is to just create not the money. I’m glad I found your channel girl because it motivates me even more to continue to do what I love and know that with consistency and time I will go viral. When it’s your time it will be.

That's truly remarkable! I remember being here just a few weeks ago. It's an incredible journey to witness your channel grow to 10,000 subscribers. As a gaming channel, it's understandable that the majority of my audience consists of males, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, expanding my reach to appeal to more female viewers can be quite challenging.
I recently embarked on my second scripting endeavor, and I must admit that it's not my strong suit. I'm determined to improve my storytelling skills, as it's an area I want to excel in.
