Ive had mines for a year. I love it and love picking on the Tesla's. 0-60 real world is around 3.2..1/4 is about 11.5. My only complaint is the steering feeling is numb! You cannot feel the road at times. Handling is great and you dont feel the weight until you hit turns. Overall a great car that I usually see once a month. Compared to a Tesla that everyone is driving in the same exact color. I4 M50 Sunset Orange amazing. And ive had zero issues since ive had the car, coming from the Tesla brand that in itself is amazing.
Sounds fantastic! I was mostly driving it with a bit more ambition and as you say, when you work with it through the bends its great. But I thought it felt good when setteling down, as I said, in that regards it feels like a relaxed long distance cruiser. And I like that it is a bit special, very good looking and nice color options. Thanks for sharing and watching 🙏🙏
I have a 2021 Tesla Model 3, but the stupid rattles are driving me crazy. Its a nice and fast car but the interior build quality is complete crap. I'm considering getting rid of it later this year, but looking for a comparable replacement. Did you also experience rattles in your Tesla and how does this compare to the Tesla in regards to rattles and overall build quality?
Same here. Just over a year. Haven't done the launch control yet though. I think some reviewers don't do the launch in sport boost mode, so the times are off.
Thank you very much. Awesome, congrats! Nice colour and the M sportseats are both comfortable and keeps you in place and thats important in a high performance car like this one. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@pointycapitals7306 different than the Z4 M40I, not worse, not better, not slower, not faster (as Z4 was tuned)…just different 😀. The range is a bit limited (guess 250 with current temperatures) but that I knew upfront. Only have 300kms…so still learning a lot, finally choose to start driving in B mode.
had my Brooklyn Grey for almost 2 years. Love B mode one pedal driving on twisty and local roads. Love the "shift lever" (they should bring it back). Only downside is charging network for road trips - but Tesla opening to BMW next year.
Great review. I‘m leasing an M50 myself and love it. I previously had M4/M5s and this car is right up there performance wise. Just not around corners. But still, it’s fun as hell. Great entry into performance EVs from BMW.
Thank you very much! It hasnt really got the same poise as the "true" M-cars but it isnt far off. I really like a lot about its sporty ambitions and handling. Thanks for watching and congratulations to yours 😎👌🙏
Props to you for correctly pronouncing "Zimmer". ;) My M50 consistently shows over 400 km range on a full charge, because I have 18" wheels and not the range killing 20" BMW puts on most press cars (whoever decided this must be an oldschool petrolhead). Unselect other factors like the rear spoiler, and the M50 seems to have 9% lower range than an otherwise identical 40, likely because of the aerodynamics package that increases drag and cannot be unselected. I would very much appreciate if the second motor was just another feature without the vintage sports stuff, but at least it's more subtle than Audi RS with a fixed wider wheelbase etc.
Thanks! Oh, great info and that sounds logical ofcourse. But at the same time, the wheight of this splendid car is a bit over the limit and you need as much traction and drag as you can when beeing enthusiastic with this one. Otherwise I just think the 40 is a better proposition. But I really like this car, proper sportscar..despite the wheight. Congrats to yours and thanks for the inputs and for watching 🙏
I love my I4 M50 Shadow trim, Brooklyn Gray... My only gripe is selling my house, so I have to do public charging. I drive in Eco pro most of the time to try and prolong the charge, but Eco pro is still faster than most of anything else out there.
Congratulations to a great, cool and beautiful car! Ah, yeah, you would want to charge at home, but other places work. Seriously fast indeed! Thanks for watching 🙏
@@whatcarwhattimeGreat video, thank you. I just hope BMW add those Steering Pedals on i4 as they already have on i5 and i7. It just more convenient than using gear shift for B mode. Also hope BMW NA bring the Automatic Tow Hitch 3500LB into NA.... Which Europe has it ...
Yes, my bad, took the word of someone I knew that has one, who said it had this technology. Sorry, should´ve checked this. Hope you liked the review despite that little miss :-) Thanks for watching 🙏
The weight is ridiculous in almsot every EV. But some can still get through it with great handling. This is one for instance. Love it! Thanks for watching 🙏
1. It's "M50", not "50M" as you call it at the beginning, right as you look at the "M50" badge. 2. The longer-range single-motor version is called "eDrive40" or "e40", not "i40". 3. The i4's grille does not have any "self healing" technology (not technique). That was only the iX's grille. This review is full of mistakes that may confused and even mislead interested buyers. You gotta do better than this.
I corrected M50 after a while. Sometimes I'm a bit quick 🙂 The info I got of that the grille had self healing technology was from an owner a I know. So, yeah, my bad, should have fact checked this. But "Full of mistakes", really? 🙂. But its great with all types of feedback. Happy that you watched and hopefully enjoyed some of it 🙏
@@obieWanmotivation thanks, appreciate it ❤️🙏. Ofcourse I know what its called, im just a bit quick throughout the takes. Slipped a little, sorry for that. Thanks for the support and for watching. A lot more to come 🙏🙏

I'm thinking about ordering one but the facelift seems to not have the sunset orange as an option.
@@ChristopherJohnson-st6fn You should go test drive one. This is a BMW -- interior quality is miles above Tesla, but it's also a lot more expensive.
Thanks for posting. Love my i4M50. Starting to enjoy the iconic sounds and drive it in Sport Individual mode

I just bought a 2024 i4 M50 in San Remo Green with the Cognac interior. Electric car acceleration is just insane.

How did Hans Zimmer actually composed the sounds of Sport mode
Very good question, just read that he was used to create the sound to BMW. Need to dig deeper into this, thanks! And thanks for watching 🙏
Great review! I have had my order confirmed today for the m50. Went for the green colour though
Wow, big congratulations! Green colour is very tasteful, one ofnmy neighbours got that one on his i4 40. Have fun and thanks for watching 🙏
