Good intervention, with an awesome result. Can't be better than that! ;-)
It really pays off to understand this stuff huh? Lmao. That’s crazy. 10 points for the Grant cameo.
haha yeah man one mans trash is another mans treasure! Grant man always is down to help turn wrenches lol
Man I am so glad I found your video, I inherited an old two cylinder Kubota from an uncle that passed away. Lots of we cousins used to play on it as kids and I’ve been stumped as to why I’m not getting fuel to the injectors. I had narrowed it down to the injector pump needing replaced, but the tractor isn’t worth the price of the pump. Hope this works for me. Want to help? 😁
Yes if you are getting zero fuel out of the pump that might be your problem. And yeah the new injection pumps are so expensive...
You saved me on my B6000. I couldn’t get it to start after many attempts, bleeding, etc., so I tried tapping around the injector pump with a ball peen hammer while it was turning over and it came to life! I’m assuming this was the issue. Thanks!
Glad to hear! 🏁
I pulled my pump on the v1100 that I have. I've never opened a pump before, but the rod/shaft, wouldn't move by hand when I removed it. To the pump apart and put it back together. That rod still wouldn't move. I ended up tapping it pretty hard with a soft handle screwdriver handle. I popped right back into place and began moving completely smoothly. I did however lose on of the seal washers in the bottom pan of my skid steer which is fill of caked grease and oil etc. So that should be fun to try and find. But I cant wait until I find it to get the pump back installed and see if she fires up like yours did. Same thing, they said the pump was bad. They want 600 to rebuild it. Everything in the pump looked good, so I'm very hopeful this fixes it. Thank you for the video.
Yep sounds like you had the same issue as me! Thanks for watching and glad it helped 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing. I've got an L2350 I'm trying to remove the fuel pump on. I finally got the linkage to move enough to get fuel to pump out of DV #2, but its still very hard to move.
You might want to try and source an electric lift pump they say the mechanical ones will leak fuel into your oil. There is a video on RUclips, about this.
I prefer the mechanical pump honestly. Very rare for them to fail imo. Alway check your oil level on old equipment
Hope this is the problem on my s2600 6 cyl. It looks like the same set up. I'll find out in the morning. Thanks for the tip.
Yes mine was stuck too. I got it freed up and some fuel at injectors but still no start and no smoke at exhaust pipe. Any suggestions?
15k hours out of your other Kubota engine?! Diesels forever! 😎
Yessir! Had a few with at many hours
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
1:15 I feel like there’s an innuendo there 🤔😂
Swamp Steeze lol this guy...
That "none tamper cap" part you removed. What exactly does it do?
It’s adjust the fuel flow rate on the injection pump.
I wonder if this can cause a low fuel pressure scenario like maybe its stuck almost closed
It’s possible. It’s the first thing I would check
I got a scat trak skid steer with a kubota engine and that was the problem the only is I can get that lever to move freely it runs wide open
Try to pull up a parts diagram of your engine. You might be missing a spring on the throttle plate
@@RaztechPowersports I think that lever is just really gummed up how long did you mess with it till it freed up
How did you free it up its moving slowly
@@carlheintzinger6450 have you changed the oil yet? Oil the external throttle level as well. Should free up with time
@@RaztechPowersports thanks man I'm helping my dad and i told him he is going to have to just keep moving it back and forth till it frees up
My neighbor has an old L235 that keeps pushing the oil tube out and blowing oil everywhere. He will change the oil and filter and it won't do it again for awhile. Any idea what's causing the problem?
Does it have bad blow by?
@@RaztechPowersports how would I check that? I really don't know much about them and my neighbor has been nice enough to bring his tractor over and using it without me asking him to do I figured I'd help him figure out what's wrong with it.
@@greghercher2068 sometimes a Diesel engine will push oil out the breather if a piston ring is bad or the pcv is bad. Pretty much excessive crank case pressure
@@RaztechPowersports ok, so when compression happens it'll push fuel and air or just air into the crankcase. How would I tell if that is happening?
I'm guessing the pcv is supposed to be in place to prevent that.
@@greghercher2068 you have me thinking now. You mentioned it only does it after plenty of hours on the oil? Is the level of the oil increasing? Some Kubotas have a mechanical fuel lift pump. When it fails it will leak diesel into the engine and cause issues
Why does my kubota tractor start but runs wide open and won't tune down
Sometimes there is a return spring underneath your throttle plate that comes loose. You need to find a parts diagram first because there are so many different models
