We lost 3 of the most fearless comedians in the span of a bit over a year. Norm, Bob, and Gilbert and were all friends. The year the comedy died. RIP gents.
Gilbert jacked Seinfeld, "who are these people," too damn funny. Seinfeld's pointless, meaningless observations are not that funny. Seems like jokes you tell at an old folks retirement home.
R.I.P. Gilbert had to leave early because he already dispensed the same lifetime amount of funny as a 120-year-old comedian. Obviously, Jay's still here.
Gilbert was always hilarious, and it’s funny that Jay had this horrified look on his face. He had no idea how to riff with Gilbert! LMAO @ “I’ll meet you outside”. Montel is such a charlatan, but I didn’t expect he’d be so humorless.
The first time I saw Gilbert Gottfried appear I thought WTF is this crazy tacky nerd weirdo? Now everytime I watch his stuff he always makes me laugh so hard my stomach hurts. Incredible imagination humor gift that guy had. I would never have the iron balls and guts to do what he naturally was able to convey on stage. RIP Sir!
Nah, they're cowards. Gilbert was fearless, just listen to some of his standup, 100% commitment to jokes that were far far far over the line, some even for the day... But god damn his delivery made them less offensive and more hilarious. No one could pull off what he did.
You see, in my day....they had a program called the Tonight Show. And they called it the Tonight Show, because it played at night. And night time, in my day, was the thing that came after the daytime.....and at night time, Johnny Carson would come on. And they called him Johnny Carson because his mother named him Johnny. And mothers were people who have boith to children. And you see, children.....
I saw Gilbert do a roast and disliked it. Never saw any other Gilbert. Then I heard he passed, and I found his very entertaining podcasts with his very knowledgeable co-host redone with imagery on youtube. He was respectful, and the journeys they took with Lee Merriwether and Julie Newmar and Dawn Wells from Gilligan's Island (I never watched it at all) were multitiered and fun. Watching him here do this killer Jerry imitation was the highlight of my day. Of course, being on the front lines in Ukraine just about anything....
I like Jay but he really let himself down here. Maybe it's because it was in the early days of the show and he thought he needed to be super straight. Gilbert here is being a comedic genius by being half genuine and half over the top and each side of the act was equally believable
That's what makes GG so great at what he does, the authenticity, originality and wholeheartedness of it, entirely one of the untouchables, I haven't laughed like this since Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield's passing.
I loved it. Jay Leno had no control and was frustrated with Gilbert Gottfried. May he rest in Jew Heaven.
Jay was so annoyed & uncomfortable. Loved every minute of it. (Insert Gilbert maniacal laughter here)🤣
Is that where all the bagels are?
That's why I like Gilbert. He also doesn't like Leno
I bet they find something to bitch about there too.
Jews don't believe in heaven, but it's a nice thought.
I love how he dominates the space like a little obnoxious force of nature. RIP.
"Hey! The only reason you people are here is 'cause you couldn't get tickets for Blossom!"
OMG, THAT WAS FUNNY, y'all couldn't get tickets to Blossom

God I hope the Gilbert clips never end. Specially now that he's gone. Rest easy u maniac!
I very much doubt the clips will ever end. Gilbert Gottfried had HUGE popularity! Nobody would ever be able to forget him!
"Hey, wait a minute, you're not Johnny Carson!" 🤣
"Wait a minute, you're not Johnny Carson!" Pure pwnage
Gilbert is ruthless! I love it!
Anyone Madonna doesn't love, I absolutely adore
R.I.P. Gilbert.
Comedy Gold. Gilbert was on fire!
quick as a whip, non stop ..gotta love Gilbert..RIP funny funny man, the sudden change into seinfeld and back again....brilliant
Gilbert jacked Seinfeld, "who are these people," too damn funny. Seinfeld's pointless, meaningless observations are not that funny. Seems like jokes you tell at an old folks retirement home.
He’s a genius. His Seinfeld impersonation is spot on.
R.I.P. Gilbert had to leave early because he already dispensed the same lifetime amount of funny as a 120-year-old comedian. Obviously, Jay's still here.
HE'S SOARLY MISSED! LOVE THIS GUY!🙏 R.I.P🙏
He probably wasn’t a guest again much after that, but I’ve gotta give Jay props for bringing him back many times as characters for show bits.
Oh poor Jane Seymour having to endure all that. RIP GG.
I heard him do an imitation of Seinfeld saying “I don’t sound like that!”
Gilbert was always hilarious, and it’s funny that Jay had this horrified look on his face. He had no idea how to riff with Gilbert! LMAO @ “I’ll meet you outside”. Montel is such a charlatan, but I didn’t expect he’d be so humorless.
Guys who always have to tell you how tough they are are very insecure.
@@okjoe5561 Montell's a Jerk.
And this was even before the phony, race-baiting Williams had exposed his true nature.
@@okjoe5561 my Momma said, "someone's gonna whoop Montell's arse one day. I see why she said that now.

Seinfeld impression was GREAT!!
I consider Gilbert to be Jay's hononary/unofficial sidekick considering he was in a number of skits of Jay's.
Gilbert Gottfried was a comic genius!
Really?
RIP sweet prince
That Seinfeld impression was excellent
RIP Gilbert Gottfried (1955-2022) You Did Good Job Voice Lago From Disney Aladdin 1992
Love how he mentions USA Up All Night. RIP Gilbert
Dang, he kills it.
Jay leno is so scared of Gilbert
What a legend- infinitely funnier than anything Seinfeld ever came up with….🤣
Seinfeld, "why do people thinks Gilbert's funny?"
@@aarondigby9859well watch this 😂😂😂

If Gilbert Gotfried can make it kids anybody can. Good lord.
I wish Gilbert could have been a part of "Old Jews Telling Jokes" that would have hilarious.
RIP GREAT MAN
Great clip. So many entertainers in their prime.
Simply the best
Such a great loss.
I was reluctant to watch this because I hate Leno, but this was worth it.
Gilbert ON FIRE!!!
It’s so strange seeing a young Jay Leno. Gilbert sounds the same 25 years earlier.
Good night Gilbert Gottfried L.I.P. ( laugh in pieces)
"...don't you talk to me!"
I bet Jay Leno's chin has its own social security number.
(did you mean zip code)
@@stevieo2716 that too now that I'm thinking about it. :)
back in the says of competent boom mic sound guys, allowing GG to shine. GG's mockery of the audience was golden here; no safe-spaces in Gilbertland!
I need a gif of Montel Williams giving Gilbert Gotfried a noogie.
Genius.
Whoa Bro he took it over!

Jay really got exposed by that panel of guests. Even Jane Seymour.
Jane Seymour 😂

Jane Seymour, Montel Williams
I just noticed that when he does Seinfeld he stops squinting and looks totally different
Did they dust it for prints? ROFL
How was he able to keep that squint without his face getting tired?

Two nights in a row of people with the most annoying put-on voices in showbiz, Gilbert then Fran Drescher. RIP GG
I first experienced the genius that is Gilbert Godfrey in Beverley Hills Cop…BITCH 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jay sucking as usual, Gilbert putting the coals to him. Don’t think he cared to much for Leno.
Poor Jay. He thought he could reel in Gilbert Gottfried.
What luck I'm the 666th person to like this video
Never cared for his humor, without his unique voice no one would have heard of him.
Would you say that about Pavarotti?
That's what makes GG so great at what he does, the authenticity, originality and wholeheartedness of it, entirely one of the untouchables, I haven't laughed like this since Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield's passing.
Gilbert was way too talented for the rest of those dummies, as well as the mostly clueless audience.
not funny
Why is he always squinting.
He's concentrating setting up his jokes perfectly .SQUINT
My wife liked him, I didn't. I find his voice annoying, and why is he always squinting??
