These skits Gilbert did on the Leno Show dressing as movie characters in the mid 2000's were gold! The first 2 seconds of Gilbert as Yoda "Here I am!" Legend.. RIP.
This is another great act of charity. I respect your public service N sans. Millions of people around the world have had to sit through Jay Leno's non sense, and although the number was small you have saved a lot of people from the suffering. Thank you for the time stamp sir or madam you are the real MVP.
Man there's a clip I've been trying to find for ages where Gilbert appeared as an Egyptian because some new discovery was opened and Leno asked what the curse of the pharaoh was and it cuts to Gilbert just screaming SON OF A BITCH!
Hard to believe this skit is now 15 yrs old. I'm a few days late, but Wednesday was the 15th anniversary of this skit. It came out the night after Revenge of the Sith opened. 9:59 It's ironic the idea of a TV show was brought up. A little over 3 yrs later, the Clone Wars TV show started airing on Cartoon Network.
Gilbert’s ability to laugh at his own cue card reading fail and then expound on it... those kind of moments are where his best stuff always showed itself. When he went rogue about the failings of the skits/shows he was currently participating in. No one did that stuff funnier or better.
I haven't seen the Tonight Show in decades,, and it's funny, now that I've tuned in again, it into decades old shows. Does anyone even watch the modern version of the Tonight Show?
am i the only one who remembers these clips being more crisp and clear? why is it when we see something older that 10 years it looks faded and distorted?
It's because HD continues to evolve and we're use to the new versions of it. That's why stuff from the early 2010s looks like it's from the mid-2000s and stuff from the mid-2000s looks like it's from the late 90s.
Same with me. I grew up with him and late night hasn't been the same since he left. I treasure the Headlines segments I recorded during the late 2000s.
Gilbert saved that monologue. I remember even as a kid jumping over to Letterman. Dry as toast but at least he had wit. Only thing Leno was good for was reminding me Conan wasn’t up yet.
RIP Gilbert. Skit is still hilarious all these years later
begins at 8:12
hellyea
RIP, elijoker.
Yes, even with Jay Leno for the first eight minutes it was still hilarious
The skit starts at 8:14. Before that is just Jay's monologue
8 minutes and 13 seconds of "blaaah....".
Thank you, I was about to blow my brains out if I had to listen to another second of Jay Chin-o
I got invested in his commentary
Thanks bro.😉
Put him out of my misery, has that guy ever made anyone laugh other than those rubes in his audience?
Gilbert is comedy gold. The man is an international treasure.
have you heard his howard stern appearances, some of them were wild, radio gold
God bless him, he was hilarious
These skits Gilbert did on the Leno Show dressing as movie characters in the mid 2000's were gold! The first 2 seconds of Gilbert as Yoda "Here I am!" Legend.. RIP.
Same with the guy who imitated George Bush! He too was really good!
These skits where they had him on outta nowhere were priceless. Rip, gilbert.
Can't go wrong with Gilbert as a guest..Ever
RIP!!!!!!
It’s a shame he didn’t appear more on late night
Ummm, he has been on late night for Decades, where have you been?!
Ohh and Dukes Mayonnaise is The Only Mayonnaise.
@@markmower6507 Duke's you say? We don't have of North of the border.
"Not gettin' any wookie!" "Hand solo!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
RIP Gilbert, you were one of a kind..
thanks
Gilbert starts at 8:18 if you want to spare yourself from Leno's ... comedy
This is one of the greatest acts of charity. Thank you for sparing us Joe Adams
If only I read the comments first.....zzzzzzzz
His comedy isnt bad, remember he does this 5 days a week, then does his own stand up Saturday and Sunday at clubs.
.......comedy LOL
Thank you. I genuinely wouldn't have been able to stand 8 minutes of his standup
Gilbert not quite grasping Yoda's placement of adverbs in relation to pronouns is adorable
Dunno, Gilbert could easily be doing that on purpose.Probably, actually.
@A screwed are we
@@mungarito2187 Example Brilliant.
@@mungarito2187 BADLY screwed, we are. Hit the fan, the Sith has.
Fast forward to 8:14 to get to Gilbert.

Jay making fun of Rolling Stones for being old in 2005. Imagine the 2021 picture.
A Yoda reality TV show: "When the Sith hits the Fan." Love it!

Not that this helps at all but.... here's Gilbert's patented "SOAB!" whilst playing Harry Potter: ruclips.net/video/Ib6jAtmdHxI/видео.html
If only they had gotten Gilbert to voice baby Yoda before he died. :{
Miss JAY---RIP Brother Gil
RIP to one of the funniest comedians and sexiest voices ever, we miss you Gilbert!
Remember comedy? Days gone by.
So glad I got to see him here up in London, Ontario a few years ago. RIP
RIP Gilbert Gottfried 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
something about Gilbert's voice just cracks me up
8:15
Thanks. I'm a huge fan of Gilbert but I didn't want to have to sit through Leno.
@@Dog-999i still better than any late night commentary host today.
@@ellismarquez8410 That's like comparing dog shit to cat shit. Don't set the bar so low. Doesn't mean much and Leno was never funny.

Ah, yes...back when Revenge of the Sith was called the last Star Wars film...well the last in George Lucas's tenure that is.
The last one that mattered.
after actually seeing leno, i finally understand gilberts impression of him on norm macdonalds show
MAN, I MISS THESE DAYS!!!!! FUNNY STUFF AND IT IS ALWAYS GREAT TO SEE TWO COMEDY LEGENDS PLAYING OFF OF EACH OTHER!!!!!
This is a whole time capsule of a video
Love it
Gilbert Gottfried is funny as Yoda.
Right you are
listening to 8 minutes of jay leno made me fall asleep and i think i missed the part where Gilbert comes on
I haven't seen the Tonight Show in decades,, and it's funny, now that I've tuned in again, it into decades old shows. Does anyone even watch the modern version of the Tonight Show?

No Lay-ah. Yoda not getting any Wookie! Hand Solo! Son of a Sith! 10:50
Thanks for the video. Yoda is a master comic. Who knew?
The saddest part about Gilbert, Saget and Norm passing … is now all we have left is John Lovitz
That's the ticket...

I miss Jay, hit or miss, he always had me laughing. Jay and Gilbert were always the best duo. RIP Gilbert.
Yes, Jay and Craig Ferguson were really good!
Jay? Really?
Yes. Really.
He can read off a card of mediocre jokes and make them into gold. RIP
I’m impressed that they were only off by two years with Yoda’s age. Gilbert said he was 876 years old but it should actually be 878.

"Gilbert Gottfried as Yoda" - You have my attention!
Gilbert on Beverly Hills Cop II, "Bitch!!", was the best line in the movie (IMO)!
Gilbert always kills! Even in bad Yoda makeup!
RIP Gilbert Gottfried and Jay Leno
Man, I miss Gilbert 😢 so uniquely funny.
No one can top him. Always a treat to see & hear him. Gone way too soon.
RIP Gilbert.
2005, I miss you. Losing Gilbert made me lose it more.
Everyone's just here for Yoda but honestly this whole thing was really funny nwn
Gilbert as a screaming green goblin is killer 🤣👍
Wow I was 7 years old when this aired
Godspeed, Gilbert…..
both such iconic personalities.
Whenever something goes wrong, a quote I use all the time is, in a shrill voice say, "screwed are we" just from this sketch
Need a light saber match between mel brooks and gilbert yodas
I can't believe we gotta sit through all this to get to Gilbert.
Thanks for the upload. Gilbert was great and I forgot that political comedy/satire used to be funny and not just whining!
I loved Jay Leno, never watched The Tonight Show after him again…..

“876 years I am, same as Keith Richards” 🤣
Gilbert is a legend(R.I.P). But the only thing that belongs in Star Wars, is Jay Leno's colossal head and face.
Gilbert is Laughing at Us. Rest in Peace ✌️!!!
Wasn't that good of a joke to begin with...we wasted 3 minutes. Lol
Be sure to check out Gilbert Gottfried with James Rolfe on Cinemassacre channel.
