Lake Superior, Beaches, and Trains (CPKC Railway) at Marathon, Ontario, Canada

Marathon, Ontario, Canada is surrounded by nature and the beauty of Lake Superior's scenic and rugged shoreline. Numerous rocky and sand beaches dot the landscape with rock outcroppings rising from the shoreline. Canadian Pacific Railway (now CPKC) punched a route through here in the 1880's connecting east and west. Train traffic continues to pass through the area.
Enjoy this 23 minute video starting at Pebble Beach (mile 61) and heading through Marathon and over to Carden Cove and Angler just shy of mile 67 of the Heron Bay Subdivision. You will get a taste of nature as CPKC freight trains pass through the beautiful landscape north of Lake Superior.
