Growing up we used to do this with pie crust. We'd do little individual hand sized ones and then a large "strudel" type filled with apples and cinnamon. Bringing back memories with this Pam! Thanks for everything you do! Love to you and your family! 🥰
I have made this recipe using 2 cans of either Cherry, or Blueberry Pie Filling... but my FAVORITE is 2 cans of BERRY MEDLEY Pie Filling!... And you place 1 can of the crescents down only 1 side of a large but shallow 9 x 13 dish, just as Pam did, with widest part of dough in the center of dish from 1 end of dish to the other... with pointed ends hanging over dish edge...
repeat the other can of crescents down the other side of the dish, butting the wider ends of dough together in the middle. Gently press dough together to make sure there is no gaps for leakage.. pressing the wide end of dough spread your softened cream cheese down the middle & then your pie filling of choice. Carefully pull up the tips(pointed ends that were hanging over dish) overlapping in the center & give a slight twist together... I like to pull the tips together just enough & twist making it look like a tied braid. Bake until bubbly & brown. Cool. Serve with a nice creamy ice cream or whipped cream as a topping. Sooo delicious!!
