- You can deal a lot of damage with Still Hunt. This is Golden Gun, the sniper rifle. After 6 precision hits, you can hold reload to get three Golden Gun shots but if you pair this with Celestial Nighthawk, these three shots will be turned into one really powerful shot. This means it will not only deal more damage, but all that damage happens instantly, and it means you can get right back to charging up the next shot. This is an extremely powerful combo in just about every activity and it’s almost a requirement for the new raid against the Witness. You’re able to pop your golden gun super and deal half a million damage with one shot, then pop your golden gun sniper for another half a million, and then keep DPSing until you can pop it again and again. It’s absolutely crazy how much damage this puts out.

Like 99% of everyone who did day 1 was a hunter using this 😔
It was a requirement to do enough dps during contest. Out of the 4,000+ guardians that beat it, only around 100 were titans, around 1,500 were warlock and the rest were hunter. I dont mind hard raids, but basically requiring over half a fireteam to be hunter using one specific build to do enough damage is annoying and unfun
as you said, it was NOT required as people were beating it on other characters. sure, its the best strategy available, but that doesnt mean you NEED to run it. might just be a skill issue
@@andrewberger3110the thing about that is, half the community unless you’re in a chill party, is going to want to optimize the same dps strategy in order to just get the encounter out the way. You don’t have to use this setup, but after everyone has seen how effective it is, they’ll want to follow up that strategy most likely.
@@andrewberger3110no it was required because it required you to have those builds in a majority of the players on the team. It would’ve just been even worse if literally everyone was required to be on that one build

Oryx wasn’t lead by the witness, as he wasn’t a disciple and the story of him gaining power from a wish through the ahamkara.
Gaul was also not associated with the witness, and calus wasn’t until he found the witness much later in the story.
Witness hasn’t been a big bad but for maybe 4 years
@@jiorrifirden7416they're pretty much the reason for taken, for the hive, and multitudes of other issues, they've been an issue for the past 10 years and just now are they finally showing themselves
@@jiorrifirden7416calus met the witness before coming to sol, Oryx was mislead and taken under the witness with his/her sisters.
Ghaul, the one who had come closest to controlling the traveler till the witness… was the only one who never worked for the witness.

Pop still hunt super without shooting it, then shoot your golden gun super, then shoot still hunt, less downtime.

I figured this out on my own once and when I did I got so darn excited. I was essentially running two golden guns with celestial night hawk. It was so much fun.

Star-Eater Scales also works with this weapon, amplifying the damage of each of the 3 shots for each stack of feast of light. Combine that with how picking up orbs of power charges up both scales and still hunt, and you could have the foundation of a pretty nasty build on your hands.
Imagine the new exotic class item combining both star eater scales and celestial night hawk 👀

Edit: my phrasing has started a class victimization war, my bad. From someone who plays all classes, all classes are good. Downplaying peak Osteo Strand Necro is a lie. Titans should def get a unique exotic synergy now.

It's very clearly a hunter focused weapon. It makes sense that it has unique interactions with hunters. Warlocks and titans are lucky they get to use this thing at all, if it came out in d1 they wouldn't.

Agreed. I dont play titan but there where...idk. quite not shown in any raid. I mean they have thundercrash and bubble for a view bosses but thats it.
yeah :/ witness encounter mostly just has us do ad clear but no titan super can actually hit the witness lol
@@cardipeemf you can hit the witness with the axes and it does pretty good damage. The problem is still hunt nighthawk exists, which out classes it pretty hard. If you are decent you can still put out damage but you can also switch to Hunter and do double the damage

I found this out before this video came out combine it with the super golden gun and you can combo them both to be over 1 million damage

Just a little dps tip, if you pop still hunt and then immediately pop golden gun after you can interrupt the animation and fire both consecutively which is faster
If you add solars mods and have the raident buff you can hit max dmg as well (999k)
Surges dont affect celestial shots
Btw the best thing about this is the ammo efficiency. You basicly get +2 ammo for every golden gun shot which will get you 2 or 3 more goldy shots over your ammo capacity.

Hunters have always been for damage, we don’t get banner or war or unlimited healing wells. I didn’t hear anyone crying the last 10 years when hunters were outclassed for everything except dps. Remember D1 raids “no hunters allowed”. Our time has come 😈

I’ve been thinking about how to maximize damage and all I can think of is starting an orb chain somehow so you always have supers and sniper going
Thing he doesn't specify is that the Still Hunt golden gun, benefits from both Solar Surge mod AND Radiant. Have someone hit you with a Lumina bullet for Blessings of the Sky...the Still Hunt will hit harder than your actual super
This is good however I will add that if you’re waiting for damage to start it’s better to pop golden gun sniper then pop super then shoot your super then shoot sniper. Saves more time and give you bigger dps. GG sniper is active in the background.
Fun fact: combine solar surge and radiant with still hunt for increased damage

When u can solo dungeon bosses with melee cheese that is broken. This requires u to use ur exotic weapon and armor slot and is only good for single target dps. Keep crying😂
I think Warlocks and Titans should have their own version of a weapon like Still Hunt. Either way, I'm sure this is getting nerfed. Lol

I like how everybody says that this makes titans And warlocks irrelevant, while all i can think of is Hunter Being forced into one subclass only, which Is golden gun. In the past it usually was requirement in raids, because of Its Fast DPS ( due to thé short DPS phases) And then Being able to shoot your heavy right Away. Now having still Hunt it just totally deletes hunter's possibility to play anything else, cause many fireteams Will demand their hunters to run this to be optimal. I think that still Hunt exotic Is great exotic on paper, but when it Is in game it just isnt healthy. Only other ult i can think of that would bé ran Is tether And that Is rare. Feel free to write against what i say, but lets keep it civil folk. Thanks !

Anyone who says being a hunter with still hunt and celestial is a requirement for the new raid is actually dumb in my opinion cause they are the issue with this game and the toxicity. Can't even get an lfg anymore cause I'm constantly getting kicked cause I'm a warlock and now a hunter
while the balance might make it too good etc i do like that they add in more weapons that interact with exotic armor while they are still useful, like how the weapons of sorrow interact with the warlock gloves, honestly suprised that the Oathbreaker gloves dont interact with Wish ender but eitherway its nice

You can optimize your DPS by casting Still Hunt FIRST but popping Golden Gun immediately after. The shot doesn’t dissipate.

@raheel106 when you compare the relative power back, then they where still stronger then the relative power to current titans.
Does this work with the arbalest dmg buffing glitch? Bc well im not even sure if that still works, but back when i did my savathuns song boss for thorn i accidantilly cheesed the boss with a friend, what we found out was that if i use arbalest and shoot some shots first into the boss that my celestial nighthawk, does more dmg, we wanted try to cheese the first to thirds of the boss life with that, but instead after i think two arbalest mags my celestial nighthawk golden gun oneshoted the rest of the bosses life which was still 80 prrcent(?)

Depends on the crit size of the boss, if the boss has a huge crit spot (like witness) then just throwing a grenade or melee that applies the weaken debuff is enough. On nezarec tho you probably want to be using divinity if you're going the precision hit route

This is gonna get nerfed into oblivion at some point....the amount of damage you can do with the actual GG super and the Still Hunt "super" is ridiculous. I been using it for about a week now and I have seen total damage between the 2 at over 1 mil.

Great damage, but the huge downside of having to play hunter
So essentially hunters are still meta in pvp with as always highest pickrate with their op movement. While also being the #1 pick for pve now. Everywhere I go its a 6 man raid of hunters or 3v3 all 6 are hunters.
