This is my dad's all-time favorite hymn. My heart is broken, and has been for many, many years. My dad had a big stroke just over a year ago, and passed away on November 16th last year. I will never forget. It happened to be exactly one month before my parents' 50th anniversary. Also, please keep my children and husband (not their father) in prayer. I have (we, my children and I) have been separated for nearly 8 years. It is terrible torment for me, and for them, too.
