Guy Allen Penrod (born July 2, 1963)[1] is a gospel music singer. He is known for his work as the lead singer of the Gaither Vocal Band, a position he held from 1994 to 2008.
Penrod was born in Taylor, Texas, and grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico, where his father, Rev. Joseph Loren "Joe" Penrod, was the lead pastor of Temple Baptist Church, and his mother is Barbara Josie Penrod (née, Gray).[1] He graduated from Hobbs High School. During his high school years Penrod recorded his first album, singing all four parts.

Penrod and his wife, Angie (Clark), have eight children-seven boys and a girl. All of their children are home schooled

I was jobless and had mental issues but now I have a contract full time job that gives me freedom to worship God on the Sabbath day here in the Middle East. 🙏🙏🙏 I'm very grateful to God , If your going through sickness, depression,heartbreak,family problems, waiting time, loss of a loved one, job loss, poverty, backsliding ,doubt or any problems and situation,im here to tell you that God cares and loves you. I appreciated your comment for that praise and also for the encouragement….. our family just had the most devastating thing ever possible to happen and I didn’t even want to live anymore because of it! Some family and wonderful people from church are praying I know, because I am still here! I have been listening to songs like this to encourage and focus on God not the tragedies!!

I was listening to this song when I was on my knees, crying for my mom’s health. I was devastated because she has cancer and wasn’t doing well at all. God talked to me through this praise, and when I opened the Bible, it was Psalms 27. God confirmed that we should just wait on Him. We still need a miracle, but now we have faith and praise while we wait! My mom is a woman who follows our Lord’s words, and I ask you to pray for her health as well. Her name is Maria Juracy and she has a serious Lymphoma.
