Malaai ruins the lassi drinking experience. The plain lassi which is pure sweet whipped curd is good enough to satisfy the taste and hunger. Such a simple drink has been made unnecessarily painstaking to prepare for the shopkeeper and uncomfortable to drink for the customer by the addition of malaai.
