So yoghurt = boiling milk + a bit of yoghurt...but how do you make that initial yoghurt? Is it by adding lemon to the boiling milk?

Avoid plastic in any food item especially hot and liquid. Use Glass or steel.
Yes of course
Steel is best
Apparently, this people live in the rural village and they don’t seem to have a lot in their hands. They can’t go to a local Walmart where you can buy everything. They use what they have. At least they are reusing the plastic instead of throwing it away. How about you making your own yogurt with clay pots and metal pitchers and throwing all of you plastic right in the trash so it can end up in landfill? 😉
Curd set best in earthen pot. Also taste is best and solid.

Transferring boiling hot milk to a plastic container & jug??? Not the best practice i guess....🤦♂️😢🙄🙄
Agreed i also don't like it.

True
Using plastic for hot milk is a great idea which will be appreciated only in 2130 when scientists will prove that plastic is the only material fit for food items. These guys are one century ahead of time.
I tried making yogurt but realized that my milk was spoiled 😢 I made paneer instead and it turned out delicious 🤤
Secret is, you cannot add yougurt to milk when its hot. Wait for milk become warm and add small amount of curd when you can touch the vessel with boiled milk for 10seconds😂😂😂. I dont know the exact temperature. May be 60-70°c
When I was in Mumbai I never buy Yogurt. Instead I prepared at home. One litre full cream milk and spoon of yogurt keep my stock last for at least 4/5 days. Far economical than buying from market.

People.... keep your negativity to yourself. If you don't like it.... than you don't have to do it the way that they do it. They are doing it the way they want to do it. Your opinion is yours. Keep it to yourself. It's very rude to talk about the way others do things. If you can't say something nice. Please don't say anything at all. Thank you
Are you in the business of telling people if they are allowed to have an opinion and post it on social media ? If one can post a video on social media for the entire world to watch, then surely others have a right to critique and comment about the content of the video. If you don't want to see any unflattering comments about the content of your video, keep the access to the video private.
Free speech doesn't mean people can only agree, stay positive or keep their mouth shut.

While selling products care should be taken if it was a house nobody will care as it is for yourself
You are obviously making Dahí to sell it. Looks delicious! Thank you for this demonstration.
I have liked and subscribed.
Please answer this question for me:
I notice that for that whole basin of milk, all you use is less than 1/2 a teaspoon of Dahí, and you gently added it in only one spot. But the whole basin of milk became Dahí! I am amazed!
Is that tiny amount of Dahí all that is needed?
Yes
I am amazed too.. I think it's the ambient high temperature (& humidity) that makes the yogurt that quick so very little starter yogurt is required. Colder climates will require at least half a cup to make and the vessel covered with cloth to maintain a constant 70 degrees F (& it takes 12+ hours to set - again in my experience over 20+ years making it in South India and North America). Noticed the same when fermenting idli flour too.. In South India a small amount ferments in 6 hours where the fermentation overflows 3 times the original quantity but in America, it rises by maybe twice in 12 to 15 hours after keeping it in a preheated oven.. one thing though.. why keep the dahi in the freezer? just to thicken?? and for how long? not sure why that is required.. maybe for a marketing purpose? to sell "thick" dahi?? not sure about that.
@@taitanu1614 I’m wondering if it’s left out in tropical temperatures, its sourness will increase rapidly. Perhaps placing it in the freezer (?) or is it just a cooler/fridge? the maturation process is suspended
I think I agree somewhat with your opinion... keeping it in the refrigerator is logical but the freezer ?? I sm not sure how that will help

That little amount wont ferment and make such thick curd, they add milk powder, few also add corn powder to make it thick
Chemical se dahi jama rhe ye
Using cow or Buffalo milk for curd which is best
Good, but plastic containers not ok, you can add curd before only in full milk 😌
But milk should be like warm.
Plz avoid plastic bucket and jug, otherwise excellent job and healthy yogurt.
what did he put in the milk to get that consistency? was it just a spoonful of yogurt?
Do they add lemon juice if old curd not available .paneer also made too
Good 👍

Bhai use mitti ke bartan steel ki jagah … dahi ka taste badhega … best of luck ❤
The place is neat and clean but few things if taken care of:
* Use wooden spoon to stir milk
*These plastic buckets are meant for water and not for pouring hot edible things... It's totally dangerous for health
*Please use clean clothes for covering the curd utensils

Use of clay containers bring better results in making yogurt.
Knowledge less stupid.... The milk has to be thik i mean Buffalo milk suitable
Maybe this is how they process making their own yogurt. Nothing is bad for them.

Very good knowledge
Give us some more information about curd making

Why he use plate for pouring milk in starting?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Super 🙏
Please use a stainless steel jug with a wooden or plastic handle for hot milk.
Bro..namaste
What powder he is adding to the curd before pouring the milk?
What is added in the milk
What you added in milk, half tea spoon? It dont think it was cured. Was it transglutamiase?
some studies proven that it's make health concerns surround it, including an increased risk of bacterial contamination. It may also worsen symptoms of celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.

When add sugar?
Isn’t it not required?
Not required
Avoid nylon cloth for filtering, and avoid plastic jug.
Yup use cotton and clay pots or copper
@hi-tk4hu Clay pot is the best-tasting yogurt!!
Best avoid this video
Carry Tiffin box to buy food items first, then automatically they will avoid plastic jug
Plastic , the most dangerous invention of mankind.
Adding corn flour or sugar is not the traditional practice.

which culture did you use.I didn't see that part.
They'll never tell u the secret 🤣😂😂🤣
No secret in this video lol
Hahah right😂
I can give one liter of clay for one dollar. Please reply. I am from Sri Lanka.
That means it's made of chemical what he added...otherwise too small amount of youghurt won't make that to jam
i was also thinking that
It's a transglutaminase , it gives thick and taste...
Though major food safety organizations consider it safe, some health concerns surround it, including an increased risk of bacterial contamination. It may also worsen symptoms of celiac disease or gluten sensitivity
What chemical bro? Did u know that.!!
That amount of yogurt is more than enough to ferment no chemicals needed..
if not yogurt u can also use a drop of lemon juice it’ll start the fermentation
Only downside in the video is the using plastic with boiling milk made me cringe
Allahu Akbar❤
I can give you clay pots that you can put milk in. Please reply…
Mashaallah 💕❤️
